The position requires the organization of a wide range of materials, and communication with an array of internal and external customers. The ideal candidate must possess a high degree of flexibility, strong attention to detail, the ability to competently respond to direction and meet scheduling demands, and the ability to satisfy physical demands of the position, including the operation of electric and manual pallet jacks. Applicants for this position must be extremely safety conscious.\nCore Duties & Responsibilities\nPreparing merchandise for shipment\nLoading of trucks, and labeling of shipping information\nReceiving parts and other merchandise\nProperly and accurately cataloging received and shipped inventory\nOrder fulfillment for various production and research and development departments\nInventory control\nFrequent lifting, bending, and pulling\nOperation of material handling equipment, including fork lifts and pallet jacks\nClear and professional communication with shipping and receiving coordinators, purchasing agents, warehouse and production supervisors, production staff, and engineering staff\nOperation of a Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook\nProfessionally communicate with outside vendors and customers\nOccasional operation of hand tools\nAssist where need as directed by the Warehouse Cell Leader and Materials Lead\nTravel as required for business needs; expected to drive safely and to adhere to all traffic laws\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office, and Avante inventory management preferred\nAbility to manage time effectively\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nExcellent verbal communication skills, strong written communication skills\nKnowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management preferred\nExcellent task-oriented follow through\nAbility to frequently lift up to 60lbs, pull up to 100lbs, and stand 100% of the time\nAbility to work in inclement weather for short periods of time\nPlug Power, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
