We're rethinking how work gets done at a fundamental level.\n\nYou'll work directly with operators who have scaled multi-billion dollar businesses in automotive, EV, and marketplaces.\n\nYou'll have real ownership, high autonomy, and a direct line to company outcomes.\n\nThe Opportunity\nPlug's Operations team runs the marketplace end to end: payments, listings, logistics, and commercial intake. As we scale, we need someone dedicated to the strategic layer above it. That person makes sure leadership has a clear read on what's working, what isn't, and why, and turns that read into action. This person will own Operations' KPIs, lead strategic operational projects (such as verticalizing our operational infrastructure as we bring more of the transaction in-house), and act as a utility player wherever the business needs it most.\nWe're looking for someone who wants to sit close to the business, not adjacent to it. You can synthesize data into a clear narrative, push a room to make a decision, and then go build the thing that makes the decision real.\nWhat You'll Do\nLead Strategic Operational Projects\nDesign and execute strategies to move core KPIs, from process fixes to new operating models.\n\nLead the effort to verticalize our operational infrastructure, bringing more of the transaction lifecycle in-house.\n\nPartner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Product to scope, build the case for, and ship high-priority operational initiatives.\n\nWork directly with the exec team and functional leads to translate strategy into execution.\n\nOperate as a Utility Player for the Business\nServe as a right hand to Operations leadership, stepping in wherever the business needs it most that week.\n\nAct as a thought partner to Operations leadership, bringing outside frameworks and fresh thinking to how the business runs.\n\nDrive follow-through on action items coming out of the WBR and other leadership meetings, so decisions turn into shipped work.\n\nTriage incoming fires and ambiguous asks, figuring out who should own them and how urgently.\n\nTake on whatever falls outside anyone's clean job description, from special research requests to standing up a new process overnight.\n\nOwn Operational KPIs and Run the Operations WBR\nDefine and track the metrics that matter most to the business, from inventory turn time to cash conversion.\n\nBuild dashboards that give the team self-serve visibility into performance.\n\nDig into anomalies and trends to find the \"why\" behind the numbers, not just report the \"what.\"\n\nOwn the Operations team's WBR cadence end to end: pull the numbers, build the narrative, and drive the meeting that keeps Operations leadership aligned on what's working and what isn't.\n\nKeep the WBR and KPI set sharp as the business changes, retiring stale metrics and adding new ones as we launch new lines of business.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n7+ years in operations or strategy, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment.\n\nRecently completed MBA or equivalent practical experience, ideally with experience in management consulting.\n\nThrives in ambiguity with a bias toward action, building and executing operating playbooks from scratch rather than following existing blueprints.\n\nCross-functional collaborator with experience driving alignment across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Product.\n\nPreference for candidates with experience leveraging AI tools for analysis, reporting, and research.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nAnnual salary: $135,000 to $159,000\nSalary ranges come from independent, third-party benchmarking against national compensation data. Where an offer falls within the range depends on relevant experience, specialized skills, training and qualifications, current business needs, and market conditions.
