Senior Fullstack Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day maintenance, bug triage, and production stability across the suite of shipping & logistics apps.
• Investigate and resolve customer-impacting issues such as rate-quote failures, label generation failures, order-sync race conditions, and fulfilment gaps tracing problems across services and asynchronous event flows.
• Maintain and extend integrations with major shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, and others) across REST and SOAP APIs.
• Keep the React front ends healthy, responsive, and reliable.
• Diagnose and fix issues in the event-driven pipeline: message queues, event processing, and the automation/rules logic.
• Write and maintain tests, improve observability, and reduce technical debt incrementally without destabilising production.
• Manage schema evolution and data migrations across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and OpenSearch.
• Support deployments through the CI/CD pipeline (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform) and participate in release and rollback decisions.
• Document architecture, runbooks, and diagnostics so the platform stays maintainable as a team asset.
• Act as a senior technical reviewer and mentor, raising code quality and reliability standards.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong fullstack background.
• Deep, production-grade expertise in Node.js, with strong OOP fundamentals.
• Strong JavaScript / TypeScript skills.
• Solid React.js experience (component architecture, state management).
• Strong experience in PostgreSQL and MongoDB hands-on experience with both, including schema design and migrations.
• Experience with Search/indexing systems such as OpenSearch / Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in Microservices and event-driven, distributed systems; practical experience building and operating them.
• Knowledge of AWS-native infrastructure (Lambda, ECS, Fargate, EC2 RDS, OpenSearch, ElastiCache), plus Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Maintaining and debugging large, unfamiliar codebases, reading, tracing, and reasoning systems you did not originally write.
• Third-party REST and SOAP API integration.
• Strong debugging, observability, and incident-resolution skills, with a track record of keeping production systems stable.
