What began as a single corner shop in 1992 has grown into an entire hospitality group for almost 3 decades.\nPurpose of the role:\nTo assist with retail sales of wine, beer, and spirits while providing an honest, approachable, and passionate experience for customers.\nResponsibilities:\nGreets customer on sales floor, phone or online, and assists in determining make, type, and quality of merchandise desired. \nProvide an educational experience for the guest when purchasing wine, spirits or beer.\nUnderstand and respond to all customer needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.\nAssist the store management with daily tasks including restocking the store on a constant basis to give the return customers a new feel. \nHandle deliveries, restock & maintain the warehouse organization.\nMaintain a high standard of service and cleanliness in the store.\nAssist the store management with performing retail inventory as directed. \nAssist the store management with marketing the store internally and externally by attending events, following up with clients, and building relationships and communicating with the marketing team to assure a constant advertising plan.\nAssist Store Management in ensuring that customers receive exemplary customer service. \nAssist in loss prevention and deter through customer service and engaging in conversation with everyone who comes into the store\nBe knowledgeable about daily sales goals and drives business to achieve them.\nTo foster a team environment by creating a fun, competitive, and inviting atmosphere.\nEnsures Visual Standards are maintained throughout the day.\nRepresent and market the PlumpJack Wine & Spirits in a positive and professional manner as requested and continually promote PlumpJack Wine & Spirits internally and externally by attending special events when requested and building relationships both on and off property. \nPromote and comply with all policies and procedures of PlumpJack. \nImmediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions and avoid injury to self and others.\nMaintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment at all times.\nAttend all mandatory meetings as directed.\nPerform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed. \nAdhere to the attendance and punctuality policy as outlined in the PlumpJack Employee Handbook. To report to work as scheduled and be prepared to start work.\nMinimum requirements:\nPrevious retail experience preferred. \nBasic-intermediate wine, beer and spirits knowledge with the desire to learn more\nBasic computer skills, typing, and ability to multi-task.\nDetail oriented, organized, and efficient. \nDiplomatic and calm with strong verbal communication skills. \nCourteous, friendly, and professional manner. \nGood team player. Customer service focused. Able to work productively with little supervision. Trustworthy and reliable.\nWorking Conditions:\nWorks indoors throughout shift in small, clean, and well-lighted area. May be exposed to outdoor conditions while assisting with deliveries and storage areas.\nPhysical Demands:\nStands and walks short distances throughout shift. Requires upper body strength and stamina to perform routine job tasks. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50lbs over short distance. Reaches, lifts, bends and stoops to perform routine job tasks. Frequent use of stairs, daily.
