We employ modern best practices in all that we do as we work to solve problems in public health, financial industry regulation, granting citizenship and asylum, and identity and access management.\nAbout the Role\nThe Associate Software Engineer contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions while continuing to build technical expertise and professional experience. Engineers at this level are expected to work with increasing independence, own smaller features and enhancements, and actively participate in team collaboration and technical discussions.\nWhat you will do:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support customer and business objectives.\nImplement features and enhancements with limited supervision.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.\nTroubleshoot and resolve application defects and technical issues.\nCollaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.\nContribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts.\nParticipate in Agile planning, estimation, and delivery activities.\nContinuously improve technical skills and knowledge of modern development practices. \nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.\nBachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.\nFive years software development experience.\nExperience in Java/J2EE/Spring, and front-end experience using React JS, JavaScript,HTML, and CSS.\n\nExperience with REST API/service integration.\nExperience with PostgreSQL / SQL\nExperience with on call / triage rotations\nUnderstanding of software engineering principles and development practices.\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with cloud-native technologies and modern development frameworks. \nExperience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails\nExperience in a Scrum or SAFe Agile environment.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.\nExperience supporting federal government programs.\nRelevant technical certifications. \nWhy Pluribus May Be a Fit for You\nWe are purpose driven. We are hiring for multiple levels under this job posting. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications, with salary ranges aligned accordingly. If a candidate is a strong fit at a more junior or senior level to what is outlined here, we will assess them accordingly and apply the appropriate salary range during the hiring process. The range for this specific role is from $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience. Salary is augmented with opportunity to earn annual bonus and medical/dental/vision benefits, PTO, company paid life insurance and a generous 401k match program.
