In addition to journal entries and reconciliations, the role supports financial reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc projects. It acts as a bridge between transactional accounting and financial interpretation, contributing to improved data quality and decision support.YOUR NEXT CHALLENGEResponsibilities:\nComplex Accounting and General Ledger Analysis\nPrepare and post journal entries for recurring and non-standard transactions, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and supporting documentation.\nPerform reconciliations of complex accounts, investigate anomalies, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.\nReview account movements, unusual balances, intercompany items, accruals, provisions, fixed assets, and other accounting areas requiring deeper analysis.\nSupport accurate general ledger maintenance by validating postings, checking consistency, and ensuring that issues are corrected before closing deadlines.\nProvide accounting input on specific transactions, adjustments, or data issues requiring analytical review.\nClosing, Financial Review and Reporting Support\nSupport monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities by preparing analysis, schedules, reconciliations, review files, and accounting explanations.\nAssist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss reviews, balance sheet reviews, account analysis, and supporting schedules.\nConduct variance analyses and prepare commentary to support controlling, consolidation, and finance leadership.\nSupport KPI reporting and financial data analysis by validating accounting inputs and explaining key movements.\nEnsure that financial information is accurate, consistent, traceable, and ready for management review, consolidation, audit, or reporting purposes.\nCross-Functional Investigation and Finance Collaboration\nCollaborate with controlling, tax, treasury, procurement, operations, shared services, and other finance teams to ensure consistency and alignment of financial data.\nClarify accounting impacts of operational transactions, intercompany flows, tax-related items, cash movements, accruals, provisions, and reporting adjustments.\nSupport the resolution of accounting issues that require coordination across several teams, systems, or data sources.\nProvide analysis and explanations to support business reviews, internal controls, tax reporting, treasury activities, and management requests.\nHelp ensure that accounting information is understood and used correctly by finance and business stakeholders.\nControls, Audit and Process Improvement\nEnsure accounting activities are performed in line with internal controls, audit requirements, accounting standards, company policies, and applicable local regulations.\nSupport internal and external audits by preparing reconciliations, explanations, evidence, and follow-up analysis.\nIdentify control gaps, recurring errors, data inconsistencies, or process weaknesses and propose corrective actions.\nParticipate in projects related to process improvement, system upgrades, reporting enhancements, automation, or standardization of finance practices.\nContribute to continuous improvement of accounting procedures, analytical routines, reporting formats, and documentation standards.\nYOU ARE A MATCH IF...\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).\nWork Experience:\n3-5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.\nSkills & Certifications:\nStrong understanding of IFRS and reporting standards.\nAnalytical mindset with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).\nExperience with ERP and financial reporting tools.\nLanguages:\nFor global, regional, or area roles, fluency in English is required. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, Portuguese, or other relevant languages are an advantage.\nFor local country leadership and management roles, fluency in the local language and English is required.\nFor local individual contributor roles, fluency in the local language is required.
