The role acts as the accounting subject matter expert, supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, statutory reporting, audits, and accounting-related projects. The Senior Accountant Lead partners closely with local and Group Finance teams to ensure high-quality financial reporting and compliance with corporate policies.\nFinancial Accounting & Reporting\nCoordinate and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group reporting timelines.\nEnsure the preparation of statutory and management financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.\nAct as the subject matter expert on IFRS, providing guidance on complex accounting matters and new business initiatives.\nPrepare and document technical accounting assessments and accounting position papers.\nEnsure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.\nCollaborate closely with Controlling, Consolidation, Treasury, and Business teams to ensure high-quality financial reporting.\nAudit, Governance & Risk\nCoordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely delivery of supporting documentation.\nMaintain strong internal controls across accounting processes.\nEnsure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.\nIdentify accounting risks and support remediation actions when required Leadership & Stakeholder Management\nLead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members where applicable.\nCollaborate with Group Finance and Group Tax teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies and strategic objectives.\nSupport finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements\nCoordination & Collaboration\nAct as the accounting subject matter expert for the Spanish entity.\nCoordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality execution of accounting processes and reporting deliverables.\nProvide guidance and support to junior accounting team members when applicable.\nCollaborate with Group Finance teams to ensure alignment with reporting requirements and accounting policies.\nContribute to finance transformation initiatives, process optimization, and system enhancements. \nREQUIREMENTS\nEducation\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance. \nWork Experience\n10-12 years of progressive experience in Accounting and Financial Reporting.\nPrevious experience within a Big 4 Audit practice is highly preferred.\nExperience within a multinational environment.\nStrong knowledge of IFRS reporting and statutory accounting requirements.\nExperience managing internal and external audits.\nExperience in regulated industries is considered an asset.\nOther Skills\nSolid knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP. \nERP experience (Navision). \nStrong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills. \nLanguages\nSpanish & English fluent \nCOMPETENCIES\nTechnical Competencies \nAccounting Expertise\nIFRS & Local GAAP Knowledge\nFinancial Reporting\nInternal Controls & Compliance\nAudit Management\nStakeholder Collaboration\nProcess Improvement\nAnalytical Problem Solving\nAttention to Detail\nWhy join Pluxee?\nJoin an inclusive team\nWork at the heart of the community alongside 5,000 experts across 29 countries -
