healthcare and life sciences accounting engagements, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of client work products\nLead and oversee month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs are accurate and complete\nReview work prepared by team members to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance prior to final submission\nCollaborate with offshore teams, managers, senior leadership, and clients to align deliverables, manage expectations, and support accounting strategies\nEnsure compliance with internal quality control procedures, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements\nPerform corporate accounting functions, including cash management, accounts receivable/accounts payable, payroll, and benefits accounting\nPrepare and review financial statements, consolidations, and general ledger reconciliations\nIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery\nMaintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through clear and responsive communication\nSupport the mentoring, training, and development of junior team members\nEnsure adherence to professional ethics and regulatory standards (e.g., AICPA and applicable state requirements)\nManage multiple priorities and ensure timely completion of deliverables within budget and deadlines\nAct as a technical resource for accounting systems, tools, and processes\nProactively escalate issues and communicate challenges to leadership\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)\nCPA preferred but not required\n4+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1+ year in Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Biotechnology industry\nStrong experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting\nSolid knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation\nExperience with consolidations, accruals, and corporate accounting processes (AR/AP, payroll, etc.)\nFamiliarity with healthcare/life sciences operations, project costing, or contractor-based accounting is an advantage\nUnderstanding of HIPAA regulations is preferred\nHands-on experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP/AP tools\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, etc.)\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills\nStrong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines\nProactive, self-driven, and collaborative team
