The role involves financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and quarterly and annual reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable statutory requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with finance teams and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of financial information.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and analyze monthly accounting entries, including accruals, reclassifications, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset transactions.\nPerform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.\nPrepare quarterly and annual financial reporting packages in accordance with IFRS and established reporting guidelines.\nReview trial balances and assist in preparing financial statements, disclosures, and management reporting packages.\nCoordinate with local finance teams to address reporting requirements and support statutory financial statement preparation.\nAssist in preparing tax reporting packages, validating invoices for VAT reporting, and completing other statutory submissions.\nSupport internal, external, tax, and statutory audits by preparing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.\nMaintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.\nExecute assigned internal controls and escalate reporting issues or control deficiencies for resolution.\nMaintain and update reporting procedures, process documentation, and work instructions.\nParticipate in process improvement initiatives, system testing, and other projects to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.\nMonitor reporting deadlines and KPIs to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.\nQualifications and Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nAt least 2 years of experience in financial reporting, general accounting, or external audit.\nExperience in financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, and month-end closing.\nWorking knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls.\nFamiliarity with general accounting principles, including accruals, fixed assets, leases, intercompany transactions, receivables, and payables.\nExperience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a shared services environment.\nWillingness to work on a day or night shift, including extended support during financial closing periods, as required.\nPreferred Qualification: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or another relevant professional accounting qualification is an
