Working closely with business leaders, the FP&A Assistant Manager will serve as a finance business partner, translating financial results into meaningful insights, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting strategic initiatives through data-driven recommendations.\nCandidates with experience in banking, manufacturing, retail, or similarly complex, multi-unit business environments are preferred.\nKey Responsibilities:\nFinancial Planning and Analysis\nLead the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-range financial plans in coordination with business units and department heads.\nMonitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, analyze variances, identify key drivers, and recommend corrective actions.\nDevelop and maintain financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, profitability assessments, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives.\nAnalyze revenue, costs, margins, operating expenses, cash flow, and other key financial indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.\nPrepare financial projections and sensitivity analyses to assess the potential impact of business decisions and changing market conditions.\nBusiness Partnering and Strategic Support\nPartner with business leaders and functional heads to understand business performance, evaluate financial implications, and support operational and strategic decisions.\nTranslate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for management.\nChallenge assumptions, assess business cases, and identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost efficiency, resource allocation, and overall financial performance.\nSupport strategic projects, business expansion initiatives, capital allocation, and other management decisions through financial analysis and modeling.\nPromote financial accountability across business units by strengthening budget ownership and performance monitoring.\nManagement Reporting and Performance Monitoring\nPrepare timely and accurate management reports, financial dashboards, and performance presentations for the CFO and senior leadership.\nConsolidate and analyze financial results across multiple departments, business units, branches, or operational segments, as applicable.\nEstablish and monitor key financial and operational performance indicators to support business reviews and management decision-making.\nProvide clear explanations of financial results, material variances, emerging trends, and potential business risks.\nImprove reporting processes, analytical tools, and financial planning methodologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and visibility of business performance.\nFinancial Controls and Process Improvement\nEnsure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial planning data, assumptions, and management reports.\nCollaborate with Accounting and other Finance teams to align financial forecasts and management reports with actual financial results.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis processes.\nSupport the development of standardized financial reporting frameworks and planning tools across the organization.\nAssist the CFO in evaluating financial risks, resource requirements, and business performance improvement initiatives.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.\nRelevant experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, management reporting, financial analysis, or a similar finance function.\nExperience handling complex financial data, consolidated reporting, or financial performance across multiple business units, departments, branches, or large-scale operations.\nStrong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.\nDemonstrated ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate financial information into practical business recommendations.\nStrong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and presentation skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP systems, BI tools, or financial planning systems is an advantage.\nAbility to communicate effectively with senior management and work across different business functions.\nExperience in banking, manufacturing, retail, or other complex operating environments is preferred.\nCPA certification is not required;
