The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounting entries, maintaining reliable financial records, and supporting compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal control procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with finance stakeholders to resolve accounting discrepancies, support audit requirements, and contribute to continuous process improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, prepaid expenses, and other adjusting entries.\nPerform general ledger reviews and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.\nAnalyze account balances, investigate variances, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in accordance with established timelines.\nMaintain accounting records relating to fixed assets, inventories, leases, intercompany transactions, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.\nPrepare and submit requests for general ledger account and fixed asset master data maintenance.\nReview trial balances and provide supporting schedules for financial reporting and management review.\nAssist in preparing financial statements and reporting packages in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.\nSupport tax reporting, VAT invoice validation, and the preparation of documentation required for statutory submissions.\nProvide schedules and supporting documents for internal, external, tax, and statutory audits.\nPerform assigned internal control procedures and escalate exceptions or control deficiencies.\nMaintain accounting process documentation and recommend improvements to existing procedures.\nParticipate in system enhancements, user acceptance testing, and accounting-related projects.\nCoordinate with local finance teams and other departments to ensure timely completion of accounting deliverables.\nQualifications and Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.\nAt least 2 years of experience in general accounting, financial accounting, or external audit.\nSolid understanding of general accounting principles and general ledger operations.\nExperience in journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end closing, and financial reporting.\nWorking knowledge of IFRS, statutory accounting, tax requirements, and internal controls.\nFamiliarity with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.\nGood written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nProactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning and process improvement.\nWillingness to work on a day or night shift, as required, including during financial closing periods.\nPreferred Qualification: CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or a relevant accounting certification is an
