The role involves performing engineering calculations, preparing mechanical design drawings, ensuring compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient mechanical systems.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMechanic and HVAC System Design\nDesign and develop mechanical and HVAC systems for data center facilities, ensuring appropriate cooling capacity, airflow distribution, temperature control, and ventilation.\nEvaluate project requirements and develop mechanical design solutions that meet operational, performance, safety, and reliability objectives.\nAssess equipment layouts, mechanical room requirements, piping routes, and ductwork arrangements to ensure efficient space utilization and accessibility for maintenance.\nReview mechanical design concepts and recommend improvements to system performance, energy efficiency, and operational reliability.\nTechnical Drawings and Design Documentation\nPrepare, develop, and revise mechanical and HVAC drawings using AutoCAD.\nProduce mechanical layouts, HVAC plans, ductwork and piping layouts, equipment arrangements, and other relevant technical drawings.\nReview drawings, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and design documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with project requirements.\nIncorporate design revisions and technical comments from clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.\nCompliance with Engineering Codes and Standards\nApply relevant ASHRAE standards and guidelines in HVAC system design, thermal environmental requirements, ventilation, and energy efficiency.\nEnsure that mechanical designs comply with applicable NFPA standards, fire and life-safety requirements, and other relevant building codes and regulations.\nReview project specifications and regulatory requirements to identify applicable design criteria and compliance obligations.\nSupport technical reviews and address design comments related to code compliance, system performance, and safety.\nConsultant, Contractor, and Stakeholder Coordination\nCoordinate with mechanical consultants, design consultants, contractors, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle.\nAttend technical meetings to discuss design requirements, resolve engineering concerns, and clarify mechanical system specifications.\nReview contractor-submitted shop drawings, material submittals, equipment data, and technical proposals, as assigned.\nIdentify and resolve design conflicts, site constraints, and discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions.\nQualifications:\nMust be a Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) with a valid professional license.\nAt least 3 -7 years of experience in mechanical engineering design, particularly HVAC system design and related engineering calculations.\nExperience in data center, mission-critical facility, or other high-reliability facility projects.\nProficient in AutoCAD for preparing and revising mechanical/HVAC drawings.\nKnowledgeable in applicable ASHRAE standards and guidelines for HVAC design.\nFamiliar with NFPA standards and relevant fire and life-safety requirements applicable to mechanical systems.\nExperience coordinating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and project requirements.\nStrongly Preferred Qualifications\nExperience using Revit or Revit MEP for mechanical system modeling, coordination, and design documentation.\nExperience using HAP, TRACE, or equivalent HVAC engineering software for cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and system analysis.\nKey Competencies\nMechanical and HVAC system
