This position is suited to someone with experience in project management, PMO, governance, or risk management who can work across multiple stakeholders to provide visibility, challenge assumptions, and ensure proactive risk and issue management.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nRisk Management\nSupport the execution of the organisation’s established risk management framework and processes.\nIdentify, document, assess, and track risks across projects and operational activities.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date risk registers within Jira Service Management (JSM).\n\nEnsure project risks are regularly reviewed, updated, and appropriately escalated when required.\nMonitor risk mitigation plans and follow up with risk owners to ensure timely completion of actions.\n\nTrack emerging risks, issues, dependencies, and control gaps across initiatives.\n\nSupport risk review sessions and workshops with stakeholders across the business.\n\nAssist in preparing risk summaries, trend analysis, and reporting for leadership forums.\n\nGovernance\nCoordinate governance activities and support governance meetings and review forums.\n\nMaintain logs for risks, issues, actions, decisions, and dependencies (RAIDD logs).\n\nEnsure governance artifacts, reports, and documentation are completed accurately and on schedule.\n\nSupport adherence to internal governance standards, policies, and audit requirements.\n\nTrack completion of governance actions and agreed remediation activities.\n\nPrepare governance packs, dashboards, and reporting materials for leadership and stakeholders.\n\nProject Delivery\nLead small-scale projects and improvement initiatives from initiation through to completion.\n\nSupport project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting activities.\n\nManage project risks, issues, actions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nCoordinate with stakeholders to ensure delivery of project objectives and outcomes.\n\nSupport implementation of recommendations arising from risk assessments, audits, and governance reviews.\n\nReporting & Stakeholder Engagement\nProduce regular risk and governance reports, dashboards, and status updates.\n\nProvide insights into project and operational risk exposure.\n\nEngage with stakeholders to ensure timely updates to risks, actions, and mitigation plans.\n\nSupport leadership decision-making through accurate and structured reporting.\n\nBuild effective working relationships across project teams and business functions.\n\nContinuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve risk reporting, governance processes, and project tracking practices.\n\nContribute to enhancements within Jira Service Management (JSM) and related governance tools.\n\nSupport lessons learned activities and implementation of process improvements.\n\nPromote proactive risk management and governance best practices across teams.\n\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nRequired\n3-5 years of experience in risk management, PMO, project management, governance, or related disciplines\n\nExperience maintaining risk registers and tracking risk mitigation activities\n\nWorking knowledge of project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks\n\nExperience using Jira Service Management (JSM) or similar risk/governance tools\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\nExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to engage confidently with stakeholders across multiple business functions\n\nPreferred\nExperience in PMO, governance, project delivery, or operational risk environments\n\nFamiliarity with audit, compliance, or control management activities\n\nExperience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools\n\nPRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation, or equivalent project management certification\n\nRisk management certifications or formal training is an advantage\n\nImpact of the Role\nThis role plays a key part in strengthening governance discipline, improving risk visibility, and supporting effective decision-making across projects and operations.
