The role manages end-to-end reconciliation operations across multiple bank accounts, payment channels, entities, and financial systems while ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.\nThe position plays a key role in identifying reconciliation discrepancies, investigating unreconciled items, resolving transaction variances, and strengthening financial controls surrounding cash management and treasury operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in cash operations, bank reconciliations, financial controls, and transactional accounting within corporate, banking, shared services, or multinational environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nCash Control and Reconciliation Operations\nOversee daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliation activities across multiple accounts, business units, and banking platforms.\nEnsure timely and accurate reconciliation of cash balances between bank statements, general ledger accounts, and subledger systems.\nMonitor cash inflows and outflows, including collections, disbursements, fund transfers, and settlement transactions.\nReview and validate reconciliation reports, outstanding reconciling items, and unresolved discrepancies.\nInvestigate unreconciled transactions, variances, duplicate postings, missing entries, and unusual cash movements.\nCoordinate with treasury, accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking partners to resolve reconciliation issues.\nEnsure completeness and accuracy of cash accounting entries and supporting documentation.\nMonitor aging reconciling items and ensure timely resolution and escalation of long-outstanding issues.\nSupport daily cash positioning and cash monitoring activities when necessary.\nFinancial Controls and Compliance\nMaintain and strengthen internal controls related to cash management, bank reconciliations, and financial transaction processing.\nEnsure compliance with accounting policies, company procedures, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.\nReview reconciliation processes to identify control gaps, operational risks, or inefficiencies.\nAssist in implementing corrective actions and process improvements to minimize reconciliation issues and operational risks.\nSupport internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, reconciliation reports, and supporting documents.\nEnsure audit readiness and proper documentation of reconciliation procedures and control activities.\nAssist in the development and enhancement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reconciliation guidelines.\nReporting and Financial Analysis\nPrepare reconciliation summaries, cash reports, variance analysis, and exception reports for management review.\nAnalyze transaction trends and recurring reconciliation issues to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.\nSupport month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities related to cash accounts.\nAssist in ensuring proper financial statement presentation of cash and cash-related balances.\nGenerate operational metrics and KPI reports related to reconciliation performance and outstanding exceptions.\nProcess Improvement and Systems Support\nIdentify opportunities to improve reconciliation efficiency, automation, and process standardization.\nParticipate in finance transformation, ERP migration, or system enhancement initiatives related to cash operations and reconciliations.\nCollaborate with technology and process improvement teams to streamline reconciliation workflows.\nAssist in implementing automated reconciliation tools and reporting solutions where applicable.\nRecommend best practices for improving accuracy, controls, and operational efficiency.\nTeam Leadership and Operations Management\nSupervise and support reconciliation analysts or associates in daily operational activities.\nReview team output to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).\nMonitor workload distribution and ensure timely completion of reconciliation deliverables.\nProvide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.\nAssist in developing team capabilities related to reconciliation analysis, cash controls, and financial systems.\nEscalate operational risks, system issues, and high-impact reconciliation concerns to management.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Information Systems, Finance, Management Accounting, or related courses.\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required.\nAt least 3-5 years of relevant experience in cash operations, bank reconciliations, treasury operations, or financial accounting.\nAt least 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.\nExperience in shared services, multinational companies, banking, fintech, or high-volume transactional environments is an advantage.\nStrong exposure to bank reconciliation management and financial controls is highly preferred.\nKnowledge of treasury operations, payment processing, and financial controls.\nFamiliarity with general ledger systems and financial reporting processes.\nExperience using ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
