In Asia, we operate from Singapore, China and India, and our Singapore team supports major projects across the region.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Singapore team. You will design process and utility systems for advanced manufacturing facilities, working with multidisciplinary design teams, equipment suppliers and client end users. The work runs from concept and detailed design through to site support and process optimisation.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProcess & Utilities Design\nDevelop process and utility designs from concept through basic and detailed design stages\nPrepare and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and heat and mass balances\nCarry out equipment sizing and selection calculations for vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, filters and other process equipment\nDesign clean and black utility systems such as purified water, WFI, clean steam, compressed air, nitrogen, HVAC process interfaces, chilled water and cooling water\nPrepare process descriptions, design basis documents, equipment lists, line lists and data sheets\nWrite equipment and package specifications, and evaluate technical bids from suppliers\nMultidisciplinary & Supplier Coordination\nCoordinate process requirements with mechanical, piping, electrical, automation, architectural and civil/structural teams so the design is consistent across disciplines\nGive process input to layouts, 3D model reviews and piping design\nWork with equipment suppliers and vendors to review drawings, documents and technical submittals\nTake part in design reviews and resolve technical issues and interfaces between disciplines\nClient Interface\nWork directly with client design teams and end users to gather process requirements, user requirement specifications (URS) and operating philosophies\nPresent design options and recommendations to clients, and incorporate their feedback into the design\nAttend client meetings and workshops, and keep clear communication and records of decisions\nProcess Safety & Compliance\nApply process safety engineering principles throughout the design lifecycle\nTake part in and support process safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)\nSupport process safety management activities, including relief sizing, hazardous area classification input and safety-critical design reviews\nMake sure designs comply with relevant codes, standards and Singapore WSH regulations\nSupport GMP and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical and other regulated facilities\nSite Support & Process Optimisation\nSupport construction, installation, commissioning and qualification activities on site\nRespond to technical queries from site and resolve process-related design issues during construction\nReview and support commissioning and qualification documentation (IQ/OQ) where required\nIdentify and implement process improvements for efficiency, yield, safety, energy use and sustainability\nSupport troubleshooting and debottlenecking of existing facilities\nProject Delivery\nDeliver the agreed process design scope within budgeted hours and schedule\nTrack progress against deliverables, and flag scope changes or risks to the Project Engineer or Lead Process Engineer early\nMake sure deliverables meet PM Group’s quality procedures and document control requirements\nSupport estimating and proposal activities by providing process scope, man-hour estimates and technical input for bids\nRequirements\nDegree in Chemical, Process or Biochemical Engineering, or a related discipline\n5 -
