This position will support an established software system by helping maintain system availability, supporting testing and evaluation activities, investigating and tracking defects, working with users to identify issues and enhancements, providing technical guidance, coordinating system integration activities, and delivering technical briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.\nYou will be a critical member of an experienced engineering team responsible for supporting and improving advanced software capabilities.\nResponsibilities:\nAdminister and maintain Linux/Unix systems using the Command Line Interface (CLI), ensuring optimal performance and availability.\n\nConfigure, implement, and manage Cisco network devices, including Layer 2/3 switching and routing.\n\nPerform advanced troubleshooting of computer and network hardware and debug graphical user interfaces by analyzing application logs and XML-based configurations.\n\nApply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows systems in accordance with applicable security requirements.\n\nBuild and configure physical and virtual servers and workstations, utilizing existing documentation and collaborating with technical stakeholders.\n\nSupport software integration and system interoperability across networked environments.\n\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, including detailed instructions and diagrams, to support system operations, troubleshooting, and training.\n\nProvide system overview briefings and technical demonstrations as needed.\n\nRequired Skills and Experience:\nExperience supporting, maintaining, integrating, or enhancing the Minotaur Mission Management System or similar complex, production software systems.\n\nFamiliarity with system integration, network interoperability, and software deployment in secure government environments.\n\nExperience supporting complex software applications or mission-critical systems.\n\n5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.\n\n5+ years of experience with C++, Java, JavaScript, or related programming languages in Linux environments.\n\nCCNA-level networking knowledge.\n\nExperience applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).\n\nExperience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other regulated technical environments.\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a close team environment.\n\nImpact-focused, with strong problem-solving skills.\n\nDemonstrated leadership and initiative.\n\nCommitment to delivering reliable, high-quality technical solutions.\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nPrior experience with classified computing environments and network interfaces.\n\nPrior experience with cybersecurity authorization and accreditation processes.\n\nPrior experience with network change control and approval workflows.\n\nPrevious leadership experience or willingness to lead and mentor others.\n\nEducation and Certification Requirements:\n\nRequired Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study (CS, CIS, CSE).\n\nPreferred: CCNA.\n\nCitizenship and Clearance Requirements:\nUS Citizenship\n\nNo dual citizenship\n\nMust hold an active TS/SCI clearance\n\nLocation:\nRemote - United States\n\nWashington, DC preferred\n\nTravel:25%\nWork Environment: PMAT offices as needed.
