Our teams tackle complex, real-world challenges where delivery matters more than theory, and innovation is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and purpose.\n\nAbout the role: We are seeking a Senior Hardware / Production Engineer to support the development, integration, and production of the Minotaur Tactical Edge Node (TEN), a mission-critical edge computing platform used for real-time sensor fusion, ISR data processing, and tactical decision support.\n\nThis role bridges hardware engineering and production, ensuring that ruggedized computing systems are designed, built, tested, and fielded to meet demanding operational environments across air, land, and maritime domains.\n\nThis role directly supports the deployment of the Minotaur Tactical Edge Node, enabling real-time intelligence processing and decision-making at the tactical edge. Your work will enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness for U.S. forces worldwide.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nLead transition of TEN hardware from development to the next generation, small form factor\n\nEnsure compliance with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and Design for Reliability (DFR) principles for ruggedized edge systems\n\nSupport design and integration of high-performance compute hardware (CPU/GPU systems, storage, networking, sensor interfaces)\n\nDevelop production processes, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for deployed systems\n\nTroubleshoot hardware and system-level issues across lab, production, and fielded environments\n\nPerform root cause corrective action (RCCA) on failures identified during test or deployment\n\nSupport environmental qualification (thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC) for tactical deployments\n\nManage configuration control, technical data packages (TDPs), and engineering change orders (ECOs)\n\nCollaborate with software, network, and ISR system teams to ensure hardware compatibility and performance\n\nInterface with DoD stakeholders, program offices, and operational users to support deployment readiness\n\nAbout Us: PMAT is an innovative small business founded with a passion for developing forward-leaning solutions from exceptional people that increase the mission's capability. If you’re passionate about using your skills to make a real difference, apply today and become part of a team that’s shaping the future of defense technology!\n\nRequired Skills and Experience:\n\n6–10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, production engineering, or systems integration\n\nExperience with ruggedized computing systems or deployed tactical hardware\n\nStrong understanding of embedded systems, networking hardware, and high-performance compute platforms\n\nExperience with electronics manufacturing (PCB assembly, system integration, box build)\n\nHands-on troubleshooting experience with lab and field equipment\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering and production efforts\n\nHardware-to-production transition for tactical systems\n\nRuggedized system design & integration\n\nProduction troubleshooting & RCCA\n\nSystems-level thinking (compute, network, sensors)\n\nCross-functional leadership\n\nData-driven manufacturing & reliability improvement\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\n\nExperience with ISR systems, sensor integration, or tactical data links\n\nFamiliarity with edge computing architectures and distributed systems\n\nExperience supporting deployment to austere or forward-operating environments\n\nKnowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) and system-level diagnostics\n\nLean Manufacturing / Six Sigma experience for production optimization\n\nPrior experience with Navy and Marine Corps\n\nEducation and Certification Requirements:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field\n\nCompTIA Security+ certification\n\nCitizenship and Clearance requirements: \n\nUS Citizenship required\n\nNo dual citizenship\n\nActive TS clearance required\n\nActive TS SCI clearance preferred\n\nLocation/Address:\n\nCentennial, CO\n\nTravel & Passport: \n\n20% travel estimate\n\nOccasional OCONUS travel for installation, integration, and testing\n\nValid US passport required\n\nWork Environment: PMAT Centennial, CO office.
