This role is responsible for monitoring system performance, ensuring service availability, managing backup operations, and supporting incident resolution in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor and operate midrange systems to ensure high availability and performance of business-critical services\nPerform proactive system monitoring and respond to service health issues to prevent disruptions\nExecute batch processing schedules and manage related incidents or failures\nConduct first-level troubleshooting, incident handling, escalation, and resolution\nSupport system administration tasks such as file restoration, account management, and security updates under guidance\nPerform system startup and shutdown procedures in accordance with established operational protocols\nDrive service restoration efforts during system outages or performance degradation\nBackup and Recovery Operations\nMonitor backup systems and ensure completion of scheduled jobs\nProcess data restore requests and troubleshoot backup/restore failures\nAnalyze logs, identify issues, and escalate complex problems to appropriate teams\nCoordinate with internal teams or vendors on backup-related system issues\nMaintain backup configurations, including adding or removing systems from policies\nParticipate in disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and execution\n\nOperational Excellence & Reporting\nEnsure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and processing deadlines\nConduct system health checks and ensure overall environment stability\nGenerate operational reports, system performance summaries, and incident analyses\nMaintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and procedures\nContribute to knowledge base articles and operational documentation\nReview and validate operational readiness for system or environment changes\n\nCollaboration & Continuous Improvement\nWork closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to resolve issues\nSupport training and onboarding of new team members\nImprove operational processes and identify opportunities for efficiency\nEnsure effective communication and coordination across teams\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)\n2-4 years of experience supporting cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, or similar)\n2-4 years of experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware or equivalent)\nExperience in Unix/Linux and Windows environments, including system administration fundamentals\nFamiliarity with enterprise job scheduling and automation tools\nExperience with system monitoring and incident management platforms\nExposure to middleware, databases, or enterprise applications is an advantage\nTechnical Skills\nKnowledge of scripting (e.g., shell scripting) and basic web technologies is a plus\nAbility to work across multiple platforms and environments (e.g., network, servers, and enterprise systems)\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills\nUnderstanding of backup and recovery processes in enterprise environments\nCore Competencies\nStrong
