Your day-to-day:

  • Develop and execute the factory capability-building strategy to ensure a highly skilled workforce, strong technical expertise, and full compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Lead the design, deployment, and continuous enhancement of technical, operational, and leadership training programs across manufacturing functions.
  • Own and lead the Education & Training Pillar within the OPEN+ framework, driving capability development, pillar maturity progression, knowledge management, governance, and sustainable people excellence across the factory.
  • Establish and maintain competency frameworks, qualification matrices, career development pathways, and certification programs for critical operational roles.
  • Identify current and future capability gaps and develop talent acquisition, assessment, onboarding, and training plans to support evolving business needs.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze training KPIs to measure learning effectiveness, capability growth, compliance levels, and operational impact.
  • Partner closely with manufacturing leaders and support functions to ensure employees consistently meet technical, quality, and operational performance standards.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of OPEN+/IOS methodologies, best practices, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Support business transformation and new technology deployment by ensuring timely development of critical skills and workforce readiness.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure adherence to EHS, sustainability, and company standards.
  • Ensure accurate training governance, documentation, reporting, and maintenance of learning records within relevant systems and platforms.
  • Manage and optimize the department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximum return on training investments.
  • Foster knowledge sharing, cross-functional collaboration, succession readiness, and workforce flexibility across manufacturing areas.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the training team, creating an engaging learning environment and driving excellence in capability development.

Who we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Management, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, capability building, training & development, quality, operational excellence, or related functions within FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similar industries.
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience with a proven track record of developing and motivating teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, competency management systems, workforce capability development, and adult learning principles.
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS), compliance requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement training strategies, learning pathways, qualification programs, and capability-building frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing, communication, facilitation, and coaching skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience defining and managing KPIs, analyzing training effectiveness, and driving data-based improvement actions.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management capabilities.
  • Fluent in English and Russian; knowledge of Kazakh is considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Knowledge of Power BI and experience in creating data-driven training, capability, and performance dashboards will be considered a strong advantage.
