We are seeking an experienced, highly collaborative Project Manager III to support and advance the PMO’s role in driving structure, visibility, governance, and alignment across software and business operations initiatives.

This role is ideal for a project management professional who can lead complex cross functional projects, operate with independence, influence without direct authority, and help mature PMO practices in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex, cross-functional software and business operations initiatives while ensuring alignment to PMO standards, governance expectations, and business priorities.
  • Partner with product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to clarify scope, requirements, success criteria, dependencies, and readiness needs.
  • Support portfolio-level visibility by maintaining accurate project health, milestone, dependency, risk, issue, and capacity reporting.
  • Drive consistent use of PMO tools, templates, intake processes, project plans,

status reporting, and milestone tracking practices.

  • Translate project activity into clear, executive-ready updates that highlight decisions needed, risks, impacts, and next steps.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements that strengthen consistency, scalability, and accountability across project teams.
  • Coach and support business owners on PMO standards, requirement quality,

stakeholder communication, and project discipline.

  • Support PMO reporting, KPI tracking, lessons learned, and continuous improvement

efforts across the project portfolio.

  • Promote a culture of transparency, ownership, proactive communication, and

disciplined planning across cross-functional teams.

impacts, and next steps clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority and promote accountability,

transparency, and follow-through across project teams.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills related to project health, dependencies,

risks, capacity, and readiness.

  • Excellent facilitation, organization, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project management experience in software, technology, business

operations, or PMO environments.

  • Experience supporting portfolio reporting, project governance, operational

readiness, or cross-functional launch activities.

  • CAPM, CSM, or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, communications, or related field.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zoho, SharePoint, or similar project

tracking and collaboration platforms.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams;

Job Description

  • Manages the most complex projects from original concept through final implementation and post-project assessment. Accountable for meeting project objectives within established timeframes. May be assigned a single project or a portfolio, requiring extensive planning, oversight, and communication across multiple segments, channels, or lines of business. Typically, project size may be greater than $2.5m.
  • Develops strategy, processes, resource allocation, budget, guidelines and support of project management team.
  • Partners with internal project liaisons to acquire resources, assigns tasks, directs activities, and controls project execution. Coaches and mentors project team members.
  • Tracks and reports progress, analyzes the results based on facts, defines the products of the project, and forecasts future trends in the project. Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, devises contingency plans and recommends improvements based on results.
  • Maintains communications for governing bodies and interested parties. Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
