Responsibilities include:\nOperate controls of transload elevator\nWork closely with the Yard Supervisor to ensure the production plan is communicated to the team in detail and executed without issue.\nServe as the liaison between office and production team representatives.\nEnsure good communication with the office and leadership teams via updating network system and online SharePoint.\nPrepare all paperwork needed for production crew each day.\nCarefully observe transload machinery and report any irregularities to the Operations Manager\nMaintain maximum efficiency in production flow. Coordinate with Yard Supervisor and Jockey Drivers to ensure a constant flow of product with minimal down time.\nReport any delays in production to leadership.\nReports any safety or environmental issues to team leader and/or safety manager.\nObserve regulations surrounding agricultural trade, as provided by onsite training.\nMaintain acceptable housekeeping standards within control room.\nConduct daily checks of all industrial equipment.\nObserve proper PPE (personal protective equipment) and railway safety practices.\nFoster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.\nMaintain and advance the food safety and quality of POET’s products and processes to deliver a best-in-class culture of quality.\nSince we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy as it relates to data entry.\nKnowledge of logistics, trucking industries and ability to handle opening / closing heavy “bulkhead” style doors on a shipping container.\nA SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE\nHigh level of personal integrity\nInterpersonal skills - ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organization\nDemonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills\nAbility to embrace and promote change\nExcellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.\nInnovative mindset\nAbility to think objectively\nSelf-awareness in the face of uncertainty\nAbility to work in a team environment\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis role has some physical requirements that our team members will need to be able to perform, such as:\nOccasionally lifting weight up to sixty (60) pounds.\nOccasionally climbing ladders.\nOccasionally bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds.\nData entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour.\nWalking up to two (2) or more miles per day.\nPushing brooms, shovels, etc.\nWorking at heights, in confined spaces and at temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees.\nStanding for extended periods of time.\nWearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nSince we are all about team work, you may be asked to help other roles that have their own unique set of physical requirements.\nDue to the physical and safety-sensitive nature of this job, you will be subject to a physical and expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process.
