You will be an integral part of a best-in-class maintenance program by supporting the inventory and planning processes through accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.\nThis is an on-site role located inAlexandria, IN. Responsibilities include:\nProperly managing documentation records related to deliveries and inventory transactions.\nMaintaining accountability for all tools, equipment, and supplies.\nMaintaining a clean and organized storeroom and Shipping/Receiving areas.\nWorking with the local leadership team by ordering parts and equipment as needed and maintaining optimized reorder points.\nConsistently maintaining strong inventory accuracy, while using sound practices to resolve issues and notify management of significant discrepancies.\nReviewing obsolete parts and sharing with management options on how to handle.\nTake an active role in shutdown planning and proactively updates part availability.\nOperating the forklift for parts movement.\nSupporting periodic inventory audits.\nActively maintaining the Bar/QR code labelling program.\nResponsible for coordination of plant mobile/EZMax Mobile devices.\nCoordinate and conduct onsite Maximo Training for new hires and at times assist other POET facilities with Maximo support and troubleshooting.\nLearn and understand the basic operation of the plant process to understand and anticipate plant needs.\nCoordinate work functions with fellow team members and other departments within POET.\nAlways maintain a team environment and champion POET in the community.\nFoster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.\nMaintain and advance the food safety and quality of POET’s products and processes to deliver a best-in-class culture of quality.\nSince we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS\nHaving a high school diploma or equivalent is required.\nHaving experience with maintenance managements systems such as Maximo is a plus.\nUpTime Elements Maintenance Reliability Certification or equivalent certification is also a plus.\nYou have the ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification.\nYou are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to learn computerized accounting systems.\nYou are a self-starter and take initiative, but are also able to work collaboratively with the team.\nYou have excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.\nYou are detail oriented and a critical thinker with the ability to exercise independent judgement.\nYou are dedicated to honesty, confidentiality, and ethical behavior in all business matters and assignments.\nYou are able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing environment.\nYou are eager to learn and change the world - Never Satisfied.\nA SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE\nHigh level of personal integrity\nInterpersonal skills - ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organization\nDemonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills\nAbility to embrace and promote change\nInnovative mindset\nAbility to think objectively\nSelf-awareness in the face of uncertainty\nAbility to work in a team environment\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT\nThis role has some physical requirements that our team members will need to be able to perform, such as:\nOccasionally lifting weight up to sixty (60) pounds.\nClimbing several flights of stairs and ladders.\nOpening valves.\nOccasionally bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds.\nData entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour.\nWalking up to two (2) or more miles per day.\nPushing brooms, shovels, etc.\nWorking at heights, in confined spaces and at temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees.\nStanding for extended periods of time.\nWearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\nUsing hand and power tools.\nDue to the physical and safety sensitive nature of this job, you will be subject to a physical and expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process. During employment, you’ll be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.\nTeam members will be required to adhere to all safety requirements at all times and in all work environments. This position is exposed to work in multiple environments, including plant, laboratory, as well as an office environment. The team member may be exposed to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and chemicals.\nIn this role, you’ll be asked to drive a POET vehicle.
