As a School Audiologist, you'll evaluate and diagnose student hearing concerns, recommend and fit classroom amplification, and serve as a key member of the IEP team - ensuring students with hearing loss have full access to their education. This role combines direct assessment, consultative services, and collaboration with school staff and families in a supportive, mission-driven environment.\nWhy Join Us\nFounded and operated by practitioners and therapists who understand the work and prioritize meaningful support\nComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, & more\nPaid Sick Leave, Holidays, and Vacation\nCEU reimbursement, tuition assistance, and ongoing professional development opportunities\nWhat You'll Do\nExamine students with hearing, balance, and related auditory concerns\nAssess exam results and diagnose student hearing needs\nInterpret audiological test results and make recommendations as part of the IEP team\nSelect and fit appropriate classroom amplification systems\nMonitor student progress with hearing loss and amplification use, adjusting as needed\nDetermine appropriate courses of treatment based on students' educational needs\nParticipate as an IEP team member in decisions regarding student services\nCounsel students, staff, and families on communication strategies (e.g., lip reading, assistive technology)\nEvaluate, follow up on, and document student progress\nConsult with school staff and families regarding hearing-related educational needs\nEducate students on hearing loss prevention\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired:\nValid Audiologist license issued by the New Mexico Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing Practices Board\nNew Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) Instructional Support Provider license - Audiologist (PreK-12) endorsement\nDoctoral degree in Audiology (AuD, PhD, or combined AuD/PhD) or equivalent, from an accredited program\nMinimum one year of experience as a practicing audiologist in an educational setting\nValid driver's license (travel between school sites required)\nBackground check/fingerprint clearance and TB clearance\nPreferred:\nExperience working within an IEP team framework\nStrong skill in interpreting and reporting audiometric and related behavioral test data\nAbility to work effectively with diverse student and family populations\nAbout Point Quest Group\nPoint Quest Group is a leading national provider of special education services, partnering with 350+ school districts to help students with unique needs thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
