We offer strong mentorship, responsive support, and a workplace culture built on care, inclusion, and professional respect.\nPosition Details\nSchedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday \nLocation: SASED - openings in Lisle, Villa Park, Downer's Grove, and West Chicago school locations\nStart Date: ASAP through the 26-27 School Year\nAssignment Focus: Support students with autism and/or multiple disabilities in the classroom. Work closely with teachers and related service providers to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nProvide 1:1 and small group behavioral support to students with autism and/or other behavioral challenges\nImplement behavior strategies and accommodations designed by educators and behavior specialists\nFoster an inclusive, positive classroom environment\nSupport students' social-emotional and academic development\nCommunicate professionally with teachers, school teams, and families\nMaintain accurate and timely documentation\nQualifications\nIllinois Paraprofessional Educator License required\nPrevious school experience strongly preferred\nExperience supporting students with behavioral or social-communication disabilities required\nMust pass a criminal background check\nPhysical Requirements\nOccasionally: Sit/stand, reach above shoulder level, stoop/bend, climb stairs, repetitive arm/hand motions\nOccasionally/Frequently: Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, twist, squat/crouch\nFrequently/Continuously: Lift and/or carry up to 10 lbs.\nContinuously: Handle/grasp\nWhy Join Ampersand Therapy?\nWe’re a women and therapist-founded company designed to support school-based professionals.
