We need someone who can understand the underlying business\n\nproblem, determine what users actually need, and turn ambiguous requests into accurate,\n\nactionable analytics.\nOften, the best solution will be different from what was originally requested. You should be\n\ncomfortable challenging requirements, identifying insights users did not know to ask for,\n\nand designing reports that help people make decisions—not simply giving them more data.\n\nThis is also a highly technical full-stack analytics role that blends analytics engineering\n\nwith BI product engineering. You will work across BigQuery, dbt, TypeScript, Next.js, and\n\nReact, using Claude Code extensively to accelerate development.\nData correctness is critical. Wrong numbers are worse than crashes.\n\nYou will own the accuracy, reliability, and usability of LiftIQ’s reporting products\n\nend‑to‑end—from data modeling and metric definitions to dashboard experience and\n\npermissions.\nWhat You’ll Do\n\n• Work directly with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate\n\nthem into useful analytics products.\n\n• Design metrics, reports, dashboards, and visualizations that surface actionable\n\ninsights.\n\n• Write sophisticated BigQuery SQL and build/extend dbt models,data marts and\n\ndimensional models (facts, dimensions, semantic layers)\n\n• Reconcile reporting against source systems and investigate data discrepancies.\n\n• Build dashboards end-to-end across the data layer, semantic layer, application\n\nlayer, permissions, and automated tests.\n\n• Use Claude Code heavily while maintaining ownership of the underlying\n\narchitecture, logic, and data correctness.\n\n• Protect sensitive financial and compensation data through rigorous server-side\n\naccess controls.\n\n• Write automated tests for metrics, business rules, and permissions.\n\n• Document business logic, metric definitions, and data models to ensure clarity and\n\nconsistency across teams\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nEssential\n\nExceptional SQL skills\n\nDeep experience with analytical SQL, including complex joins, window functions,\n\nattribution, aggregation, data grain, reconciliation, and performance. BigQuery experience\n\nis strongly preferred.\n\nStrong analytical and business judgment\n\nYou can understand what decision a stakeholder is trying to make, determine which\n\nmetrics matter, and design something more useful than simply fulfilling the original\n\nrequest.\n\nStrong requirements-gathering skills\n\nYou are comfortable working directly with business users, asking the right questions,\n\nunderstanding unfamiliar processes, and turning ambiguity into a clear solution.\n\ndbt experience\n\nExperience using dbt in a high-scale production data environment. Experience with\n\ndimensional modeling, semantic layers, and metric governance.\n\nData skepticism\n\nYou instinctively validate, reconcile, spot-check, and investigate. You should be\n\nuncomfortable shipping a number you cannot explain.\n\nTesting discipline\n\nExperience building testable analytics logic and automated tests for metrics and business\n\nrules. Experience with version control, PR hygiene, and modular analytics engineering\n\npractices.\n\nEnglish: strong working proficiency (B2+), with the ability to communicate directly with business stakeholders and gather requirements.\nNice to Have\n\n• Performance or affiliate marketing experience, including CPL, CPA, EPC, ROAS, and\n\nmedia-buying economics\n\n• Experience with platforms such as Everflow, Ringba, RedTrack, Voluum,\n\nLeadProsper, or HubSpot\n\n• GCP / Cloud Run / Cloud Scheduler / Cloud Build\n\n• Python ETL and API integrations\n\n• Payroll or commission systems experience\n\n• Claude API or other LLM application development\n\n• Interactive data visualization\n\n• Playwright / E2E testing\n\nTech Stack\n\nData: BigQuery, dbt, Python ETL, Google Build, Docker\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\n\nA strong person in this role becomes someone the business brings problems, not\n\ndashboard specifications.\n\nIf someone says, “I need to understand why this buyer’s margins dropped,” you should be\n\nable to understand the business context, interrogate the data, identify the relevant metrics\n\nand potential causes, and build something that makes the answer clear.\nYou should be equally comfortable debugging a subtle SQL grain issue, talking with a\n\nstakeholder about how their business works, and using Claude Code to turn the resulting\n\nsolution into a production dashboard.\nThis is a full-stack analytics role, but the hardest part of the job is data correctness,\n\nmodeling discipline, and analytical judgment—not frontend development.\n\nSuccess also means stakeholders trust your numbers without hesitation, dashboards\n\nbecome decision tools rather than data dumps, and metric definitions remain consistent\n\nacross
