A successful candidate will have experience supporting day-to-day\noperations of the Microsoft SQL stack in an enterprise environment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMonitor database performance and health in on-premises and cloud environments\nRespond to system-generated alerts for failed database jobs and deployments\nPeer review database scripts for industry best practices and Polaris standards\nPerform database backups & restores as requested\nResolve user-submitted requests for access, deployment, and troubleshooting assistance\nProvision and configure databases in accordance with established enterprise standards\nSPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:\nEducation and Background:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required\n4-6 years of experience in Database Administration in an enterprise environment\nRequired Skills & Knowledge:\nExperience maintaining and configuring Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and higher\nExperience with Microsoft SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS technologies\nFamiliarity with common database performance metrics & tuning practices\nAbility to troubleshoot failed SSIS packages in partnership with development teams\nStrong problem solving and analytical skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nDemonstrated ability to work with little supervision and complete tasks in a timely manner\nPreferred Skills & Knowledge:\nExperience working with ServiceNow for Incident and Change management\nExperience with code deployment\nFamiliarity with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, GitHub\nExperience working with cloud database technologies - including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory,\nAzure Cosmos DB, or equivalent.\nExperience working with the Rubrik backup solution for databases\nFamiliarity with high-availability solutions such as Always On and Log Shipping\nStrong scripting and automation skills\nWorking Conditions:\nStandard hybrid office environment\nWorking in UK and US support hours\nOn-call Support: Yes, On Rotational Basis.\nWe are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE.
