The Design Staff will include Layout Designers and Engineers.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nIdentify and manage design related opportunities to improve product and process quality\nLead Design Staff career development by completing assessment reviews and annual performance reviews\nHold staff meetings with direct reports to provide Polaris business and general Powertrain updates\nWork with project teams, architects and module leads to determine resource support for various projects.\nProvide mentorship for at least one Powertrain Peer Team\nMentor team members who are performing engineering calculations for basic stress and strength calculations, tolerance stack-up Analysis and GD&T\nMentor team members who are creating 3D-CAD Design of engine parts, assemblies and subassemblies including detailed drafting, dimensioning and tolerancing in support of problem resolution\nHold the team accountable for delivering the highest level of design standards\nBe a key enabler and guide teams through formal problem-solving methods\nExcellent presentations skills. Ability to present and influence to a wide range of audiences at varying levels.\nSKILLS& KNOWLEDGE\n10+ years with BS in Engineering\n10+ years of experience in engine design\nQuality and customer focused\nDesign and development experience required\nExperience leading multi-person Design Teams\nExperience with GD&T, FMEA, DRBFM, DFM, DFA, and dimensional tolerance stack-ups\nCreative, innovative, decisive and prone to action\nPossess and apply a broad knowledge of principals, practices and procedures to the completion of difficult technical problems and projects\nExcellent verbal, written and presentation skills\nHigh level of people skills, able to lead a diverse team\nAbility to motivate people\nAbility to work with cross functional partners\nFamiliarity with CREO 3D CAD modeling software\nDomestic and International travel is approximately 10%\nThe starting pay range for Minnesota is $127,000 to $160,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
