Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Purchasing Analyst manages Parts, Garments & Accessories suppliers to support the on-time delivery of products to Polaris distribution facilities. Working across purchasing and demand planning, you coordinate appropriate purchase quantities to help achieve strategic inventory, fill rate, and service-level objectives. This role combines supplier relationship management, purchase order execution, negotiation, and issue resolution to meet customer needs. You will have direct ownership of supplier performance and purchasing activities that influence product availability and customer service.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers to drive consistent performance.\nReview system-recommended purchase quantities and collaborate with demand planning analysts to improve purchasing accuracy.\nApprove purchase orders, monitor delivery performance, and expedite orders as necessary to achieve fill rate goals.\nCoordinate and communicate with multiple departments to support business, inventory, and customer service objectives.\nResolve backorder issues in accordance with established goals.\nNegotiate costs, lead times, minimum order quantities, and economic order quantities to benefit Polaris.\nExecute supplier cost-reduction and inventory-reduction initiatives.\nAnalyze and resolve supplier invoicing and purchase order discrepancies.\nProactively identify urgent issues and communicate them to the supervisor.\nDesired Competencies:\nCollaboration: You work effectively with others across functions and levels, contributing to shared goals while respecting different perspectives.\nProblem Solving: You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality, and risk.\nPlanning & Organization: You manage time, resources, and priorities effectively to meet deadlines and deliver consistent results.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree preferred.\nProfessional experience in supply chain management, including logistics, procurement, material requirements planning, or inventory management; purchasing experience preferred.\nStrong aptitude for solving problems and improving processes.\nStrong negotiation, influencing, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to approach issues diplomatically and collaboratively.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision.\nAbility to work in a standard office environment, with flexibility for remote work at the manager’s discretion.\nAbility to travel minimally for supplier, distribution center, and dealer visits, including visits to remote outdoor locations.\nThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.\nThe starting pay range for Minnesota is $64,000 to $80,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
