Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSupport production by teaching operators how to correctly use gauges and other quality equipment.\nAudit various process characteristics per specification plans, may include but is not limited to:Receiving inspection of components or raw materials\nWIP\nQuarantined inventory\nRe-worked components or assemblies\nFinished goods audits\n\nMake necessary recommendations for process improvements.\nPerform sort of non-conforming materials as required.\nVerification of Manufacturing Department materials and parts, assuring that they meet written specifications within established tolerances.\nWork overtime or vary working hours as needed.\nAttend company provided training. 8. Work with measuring and production tools\nCross train in other quality positions to back-up or assist other quality personnel as necessary.\nPrepare layout sheets, prepare RMO's, shipping orders and order supplies for QA Lab as necessary.\nChallenge nonconforming product using proper chain of command and hold tag procedures.\nProvide help with rework projects as the quality inspector for all completed rework.\nMaintain or input quality data/files as required. May include but is not limited to: QA files PPAP Audit results FAIR's RMO's Deviations PQR's FTQ PP100\nCommunicate to appropriate personnel any necessary issues, findings, etc.\nMaintain quality inspection equipment as necessary.\nProvide input into improving existing inspection procedures and actively participate in the PCI process.\nWork in safe and healthy manner, strictly following all safety rules and regulations\nPerform duties outside assigned area, as required.\nMaintain a neat and organized work area.\nSkills and Knowledge :\nTechnical diploma or equivalent training preferred.\nMust be familiar with parts, tolerances, dimensions, problem areas, various inspection equipment, and quality terminology.\nMust have a performance history of quality conscious work, good attendance and safe work habits.\nOne year experience with basic gauging equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) required.\nMust have experience and a strong working knowledge of the production area this position is assigned to support (i.e. seats, engines, metal fabrication, etc.)\nMust have flexibility to cover other shifts when needed.\nMust have a working knowledge of PC software programs (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, database, email) including the ability to enter and retrieve data.\nMust have working knowledge of the AS400 system.\nMust have strong oral and written communication skills.\nMust be able to manage conflict and solve problems independently.\nMust have demonstrated organizational and leadership skills.\nMust be responsible, enthusiastic, trustworthy, and able to work with minimum supervision.\nPrevious inspection experience or related education preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nMobility & Stamina: Prolonged standing (8+ hour shifts), walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, stooping, and crouching.\nLifting: Frequently lifting/maneuvering heavy parts, materials, or products, usually up to 40 lbs.\nManual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination for handling, touching, and inspecting small components or using instruments like calipers.\nVision & Sensory: Superior close-up vision, depth perception, and color vision.\nReaching & Accessing: Frequent reaching (overhead, lateral, forward) and sometimes climbing up on vehicles or ladders or working in confined spaces.\nEnvironmental Handling: Ability to work in environments requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, cut resistant gloves, and steel-toed boots.\nBase Pay Range:\n$22.81 - $26.93Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship will not be provided.
