In this role, you will oversee warehouse operations, employee performance, safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and budget management to ensure departmental objectives are achieved. You will partner with cross-functional teams and frontline leaders to drive operational improvements, maintain service levels, and support employee development. You will play a key role in creating an efficient, safe, and productive work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and operational standards. This position offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact on distribution performance, employee engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead daily department operations and special projects to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and order fulfillment objectives.\nManage departmental performance through the monitoring and improvement of operational processes, workflows, and performance metrics.\nDevelop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, including labor, packaging, maintenance, and related operating expenses.\nAnalyze operational data and reports to identify trends, drive improvements, and support business decision-making.\nPartner with Group Leads to coordinate workforce planning, scheduling, training, overtime assignments, shift rotations, and staffing coverage.\nSupervise employees in accordance with company policies, including performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and employee development.\nRecruit, interview, onboard, and train new employees while ensuring effective orientation and job readiness.\nEstablish departmental and individual performance goals and conduct performance evaluations.\nCollaborate with Human Resources and staffing agencies to maintain appropriate staffing levels and support workforce needs.\nCommunicate operational priorities, performance expectations, and organizational initiatives to employees and stakeholders at all levels.\nParticipate on cross-functional committees and teams as a representative of the department.\nMaintain required payroll, personnel, and operational records and documentation.\nDesired Competencies:\nLeadership: You inspire, guide, and empower others to achieve their best by setting clear direction, fostering trust, and creating an environment where people feel supported, motivated, and accountable for delivering results.\nProblem Solving: You identify issues, assess root causes, and implement practical solutions that balance speed, quality, and risk.\nCommunication: You clearly convey information, ideas, and expectations to diverse audiences, adjusting your message to ensure understanding and alignment.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Management or a related field preferred.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale automated distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics operations with budget responsibility.\nDemonstrated experience leading employees, managing performance, and supporting employee development.\nStrong problem-solving skills with experience identifying root causes and implementing sustainable, metrics-driven solutions.\nExperience managing workplace safety programs and applying OSHA standards within an operational environment.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences across multiple organizational levels.\nKnowledge of distribution center operations, including logistics, fulfillment, warehouse operations, and facilities support.\nStrong organizational, supervisory, and quality-management capabilities.\nExperience with AS400, RF/bar-coding technology, and material handling or sortation systems preferred.\nAbility to work in a distribution and office environment and lift materials weighing up to 40 pounds.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities simultaneously.\nThis position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.\nTo qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.\nWe are an ambitious, resourceful, and driven workforce, which empowers us to THINK OUTSIDE.Apply today!\nAt Polaris we put our employees first, by offering a holistic approach to their health and financial wellbeing.
