Welders must be able to perform these functions, with or without reasonableaccommodation.\nOur Weld environment is a 24/7 operation. Weldersmay be asked to work 6-7 days per week.\nExperience welding is preferred. If no prior experience, but interestedin a welding career, join our team as a Moto(Robotic Weld)Operatorand learn to weld with Polaris!\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPerform Weld Tasks to Standards\n\nPerform Arc and Mig welding on steelmaterials for RANGER or Slingshot production.\n\nPass Weld Assessment to standards.\n\nAbility to be trained on Polaris specific weld process standards and arc monitor systems\n\nSafety, Quality, Cost & Delivery Focus\n\nPerform welding tasks based on production schedules.\n\nMaintain a consistent pace throughout the shift with focus on quality.\n\nInspect all parts prior to and following entering workstations; immediately report non-conformance issues to group leader and/or Supervisor.\n\nAccurately complete paperwork required for production records, includinglabor reporting, move tickets, SPC charts etc.\n\nPerform quality testing and documentation as required.\n\nFollow all safety rules and regulations strictly and maintain a clean and orderly work area.\n\nMaintain good housekeeping practices(5S).\n\nTeam Player Mentality\n\nStep in and perform tasks on robot welding equipment as required by business need and assigned by supervisor.\n\nRotate between workstations as assigned.\n\nMaintain regular, reliable attendance.\n\nPerform other dutiesasassigned by Supervisor and/or Group Leader.\n\nSKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:\n18years of age or older.\n\nBasic knowledge of computers.\n\n1 year of manufacturing experience or educational welding experience preferred.\n\nWelding experience preferred.\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.\n\nRepetitive use of upper extremities.\n\nAbility to bend, twist, turn, kneel, and squat.\n\nStand and walk up for extended periods of timeand reach overhead continuously.\n\nAbility to withstand heat for extended periods of time.\n\nUse air/power/vibrating tools and performstrong, pincher-grippingmotions.\n\nWork safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.\n\nIt may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to twelve hours a day.\n\nWelding experienceispreferred.\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nFast paced welding environment\nHot environment\n\nPRE-HIRE TRAINING\nWe have partnered with the Alabama Department of Commerce to establish a customized training program for candidates seeking employment with Polaris.
