And that’s where you come in.\nAs our Payroll Manager at Policy Expert, you’ll own our end-to-end payroll operation, making sure our colleagues are paid accurately and on time, every time.\nYou’ll be the go-to expert for all things payroll, bringing together technical know-how, sharp analytical thinking and a knack for making things work better.\nWorking closely with Finance and teams across the business, you’ll keep payroll running smoothly, maintain robust controls and ensure we’re always on top of compliance. We’re big on finding better ways to do things, and you’ll have the freedom to challenge the status quo, streamline processes and make a genuine impact.\nIf you love getting the detail right, solving problems and taking ownership, this is your chance to make payroll work smarter.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nOwn the Payroll process\nTake the lead on end-to-end payroll, from gathering and validating data to processing changes and hitting every deadline.\nManage new starters, leavers, promotions, salary changes and system updates, keeping records accurate and documentation on point.\nWork closely with Finance to deliver a seamless, reliable payroll service.\nGet pay and benefits right\nOversee salary increments, pension contributions, overtime, public holiday pay and other payroll-related calculations.\nManage pension uploads, employee payments and related documentation.\nBe a trusted point of contact for colleagues, providing clear, helpful answers to questions about pay, tax and payroll.\nTurn data into insight\nDeliver accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reports.\nAnalyse payroll data, maintain accurate account balances and investigate discrepancies before they become bigger problems.\nSpot trends, highlight key insights and give the business the information it needs to make informed decisions.\nKeep us compliant and in control\nEnsure payroll processes, records and procedures meet relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.\nCarry out regular checks and audits, support internal and external audit activity, and maintain accurate statutory documentation, including P45s, P60s and P11Ds.\nOversee contractor timesheets and related payroll records, always protecting confidential information and managing risk.\nMake things better\nChallenge existing processes and find smarter, more efficient ways of working.\nStrengthen controls, improve accuracy and build robust procedures that can scale as we grow.\nTake the initiative, solve problems and turn good ideas into practical improvements.\nSo, Who are you?\nYou’re a payroll pro who knows that the details matter.
