Leveraging proprietary technology and smart data, we offer reliable products and a wow customer experience.\nHaving achieved rapid growth since being founded in 2011, we’ve won over 1.5 million customers in Home, Motor and Pet insurance and have been ranked the UK’s No.1-rated home insurer by Review Centre since 2013.\nKey responsibilities\nExtract, clean and prepare data with SQL / BigQuery and Python; automate repetitive tasks and document code so others can rerun it.\nClarify the question and agree the approach before starting, then deliver analysis to the agreed brief.\nRun, build and refine models using established methods (e.g. risk, demand, retention and forecasting models), reading diagnostics such as lift, residuals and hold-out results.\nRun regular processes, for example rate reviews, optimisation cycles, trading changes, ancillary pricing and MI.\nBuild and test pricing changes in the team’s tools (e.g. Radar), including pre and post-deployment checks, with documented test evidence; peer review changes made by others.\nMonitor portfolio and model performance (mix, conversion, retention, loss ratio, actual vs expected), explain movements and flag anything unusual.\nInterpret results commercially: impact on volume, margin and customers, market and PCW position, and GIPP, Consumer Duty and fair-value implications.\nCheck own work and reconcile to known sources before handing it over.\nProduce clear outputs and present own analysis to the team, managers and Heads.\nShare knowledge and code with colleagues and contribute to team projects and process improvements.\nWorks to an agreed brief; independent on standard work and escalates non-routine or ambiguous problems.\nImplements pricing changes within agreed guidelines and thresholds, after review and sign-off.\nRaises blockers and errors early and takes responsibility for fixing own mistakes.\nSkills, knowledge and experience\nEssential\nDegree in a numerate subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Data Science, Physics, Engineering), or equivalent experience\nSome SQL or Python, or a clear interest in coding and the ability to pick it up quickly; it is used every day in the role\nExperience in Office, Excel in particular\nAttention to detail and a habit of checking work\nClear written and verbal communication, including to non-technical audiences\nOrganised; able to manage several pieces of work at once\nCuriosity about how insurance pricing and the PCW market work\nDesirable, more likely with some experience\nConfident SQL / BigQuery and Python for analysis\nStatistical modelling (e.g. GLMs, GBMs or other machine learning methods) applied to real problems\nPricing or modelling software (e.g. Radar, Emblem, Earnix)\nExperience of UK personal-lines pricing and its main KPIs\nCloud tools (e.g. GCP)\nStarted or progressing professional exams (IFoA or CII)\nBenefits:\nThis role will be based in our London office in a 50/50 Hybrid mode.\nWe match your pension contributions up to 7%\nPrivate medical & Dental cover\nLearning budget of £1,000 a year + Study leave (with encouragement to use it)\nEnhanced maternity & paternity\nTravel season ticket loan\nAccess to a wide selection of London O2 events and use of a Private Lounge\nEmployee Wellbeing Programme\nWhat We Stand for and Next Steps “We pride ourselves on being an equal opportunity employer.
