Working closely with clients and colleagues, you will ensure all financial reporting, reconciliations, and deliverables are completed to a high standard, helping to drive excellent client outcomes and service delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nDelivering agreed services to clients which may include:\nMaintenance of client records and reconciliation of ledgers.\nPreparation of Management accounts and consolidation of financial reports and regulatory returns.\nPreparation of Statutory accounts.\nPreparing, reviewing and processing journals and reference data on ledger.\nApproving payments in line with relevant delegated authority and monitoring/resolving outstanding invoices/statements.\nMonitoring cash movements and balances and escalating to the Client Manager when required.\nProcessing payroll on behalf of clients.\nLiaising with regulatory bodies, auditors and clients.\nEnsuring procedures and controls are documented, followed, and updated.\nKeeping abreast of regulatory changes and work with clients, third parties and other Polo staff to ensure such changes are implemented in a controlled and timely manner.\nEnsuring controls are as required and resolve any issues.\nAssisting with recruitment, training, development, and succession planning.\nAssisting with audits for clients.\nOther ad-hoc projects and tasks.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nExperience of preparing management accounts and Annual reports and financial statements\nA keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills\nHigh professional ethics\nCustomer focused\nAble to prioritise and plan to meet deadlines, even when they conflict\nA team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills\nStrong problem-solving skills\nExcellent MS Excel/Word/Outlook skills\nQualified accountant or qualified by experience\nKnowledge of general insurance finance, including regulatory returns is desirable\n Good knowledge of SUN/Q&A accounting software is desirable\nBenefits\nAs well
