The Equipment Set-Up Technician will oversee the technical aspects of our production line, ensuring smooth operations. This includes, but is not limited to, troubleshooting technical issues, executing changeovers, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise, a high level of mechanical aptitude, leadership abilities, and a commitment to driving excellence in manufacturing processes.\nEssential Functions: Fundamental and critical tasks, duties, and responsibilities necessary for position to be performed effectively.\nEnforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.\nCoordinate the workflow on the production line to optimize efficiency and meet production goals.\nCollaborate with other departments to ensure seamless production flow.\nOversee and operate packaging machinery and equipment to assemble, label, and pack products according to customer specifications.\nFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in the packaging process.\nMonitor packaging machinery, troubleshoot and adjust as needed to maintain optimal performance.\nConduct visual inspections of packaged products to ensure they meet quality standards.\nIdentify and report any defects, discrepancies, or issues with the packaging process.\nOptimize packaging processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.\nMaintain a clean and organized packaging area.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to address any production challenges or changes in packaging requirements.\nTrain new team members on packaging processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.\nProvide ongoing coaching and skill development opportunities to enhance the team's performance.\nPerform other duties as requested by the Production Supervisor that may fit within the scope of this role, such as editing/creating procedures and productivity tracking.\nPerform production line setup, operation, and changeovers to meet production targets and customer requirements.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.\nComputer Skills Required:\nMicrosoft Office\nOther qualifications:\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to communicate effectively.\nExcellent problem-solving and documentation skills.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nStrong leadership ability.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience\nCommitment to safety and quality standards.\nPreferred: Experience working in a cGMP environment\nPreferred: Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment.\nPreferred: Understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing concepts\nQualifications\nQualifications\nEducation Required: High School Diploma/GED Preferred: Trade or Technical School\nCertification(s): Specify preferred or required.\nComputer Skills Required:\nMicrosoft Office\nOther qualifications: \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to communicate effectively.\nExcellent problem-solving and documentation skills.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nStrong mechanical aptitude \nCommitment to safety and quality standards.\nPreferred: Experience working in a cGMP environment\nPreferred: Experience working in an ISO 13485 environment.\nPreferred: Understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing concepts\nImmediate Work Environment:\nX-Chemicals Unprotected Height XFumes/Gases X-Persistent Noise\nX-PPE used: Safety glasses, protective shoes, gloves\nWork Activity: [must equal number of hours worked per day] \nStand: 8 Frequency: Continuously Walk: 2 Frequency: Intermittently\nSit: 0 Frequency: Choose an item.Drive: 0 Frequency: Choose an item.\nLift/Carry Demands\nFrequency : Lift/Carry Equipment Provided:\n0-10 lbs.
