You’ll embed with teams across the company, deeply understand their workflows and strategic goals, and lead the technical direction of the operational systems that accelerate them.\nThese systems center on Mission Control: the platform Polymarket uses to run Polymarket. Mission Control is the backbone for teams across the company, including Markets, Product, Polymarket US, Trust & Safety, Compliance, Exchange Operations, and Customer Experience. It is critical to how we create, configure, and launch markets, and to how we operate safely and compliantly at scale.\nThis is a high-ownership, high-impact role for an experienced engineer who wants to shape architecture, set technical direction, and deliver measurable value at the business level.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn and expand Mission Control. Build and evolve the systems used to run Polymarket - the engine that drives Polymarket's markets, content, and growth.\n\nBuild markets automation. Design and implement pipelines that streamline how new markets are researched, structured, deployed, and managed at scale.\n\nDrive projects end-to-end. Take complex, ambiguous initiatives from problem definition through architecture, implementation, and production, with direct impact on how the business operates every day.\n\nWork across a broad set of systems. Mission Control represents the broad range of operational systems (APIs, dashboards, workflows) that support teams across the company and tie directly into the core product. You’ll make key decisions about how these systems evolve and integrate.\n\nWork across the stack. Develop both frontend and backend code, using modern frameworks to solve practical problems quickly and cleanly.\n\nEmbed with and partner across teams. Work directly alongside Markets, Product, Polymarket US, Trust & Safety, Compliance, Operations, and CX to understand their workflows, turn their needs into technical priorities, and influence how they work.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable code. Set standards for code quality, system design, and reliability. Lead design and code reviews, and champion best practices across the team.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n5+ years of professional software development experience\n\nDeep experience building full-stack web applications\n\nStrong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS\n\nExperience with React and Node.js (Next.js is a bonus)\n\nStrong customer empathy: you're good at understanding what different teams actually need, not just what they ask for\n\nStrong system design skills and a track record of making sound architectural decisions in fast-moving environments\n\nProven ability to lead technical projects end-to-end and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders\n\nA bias for action: you're comfortable shipping quickly and iterating based on real feedback\n\nComfort with ambiguity and context-switching: you can manage multiple systems and stakeholders without losing momentum\n\nGreat communication and collaboration skills: you enjoy working across teams to solve real problems\n\nA passion for blockchain, decentralized finance, and freedom of speech\n\n(Plus) Experience in an embedded or field engineering role, working directly alongside product or operations teams\n\n(Plus) Experience with workflow automation or deployment pipelines\n\n(Plus) Background in fintech, crypto, or data-heavy applications\n\n(Plus) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent\n\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary & equity\n\nUnlimited PTO\n\nFull Health, Vision, & Dental coverage\n\n401k match\n\nHardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories\n\nPay Transparency\nBase salary range: $250,000 to $400,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.\nThis range reflects a good-faith estimate for this position.
