You'll report to the Head of People Experience and manage the Office Manager and Receptionist. On day one you're running NYC HQ - over the next year you'll build the team and systems to keep it running at 200 and 500 people, and lead a major office build-out.\nThis is a strategic role, not an administrative one. You'll run the office like a product, constantly shipping improvements that make the space match the intensity of the work we do. You'll manage the team, the budget, and the vendors, and own how Polymarket's offices look and feel. Done well, the workplace becomes a reason people want to come in.\nWhat You'll Do\nKeep NYC HQ running at a high bar every day: space, supplies, furniture, and vibes\n\nSelect and manage vendors (cleaning, catering, facilities maintenance) and own the workplace budget - plan it, track it, and find places to save\n\nMake sure investors, candidates, and partners understand who Polymarket is the moment they walk in\n\nWork with IT and Security on visitor management, room booking, inventory, and maintenance systems, and keep them working as we grow\n\nOwn workplace health and safety: routine checks, ergonomics, local compliance, and emergency preparedness including evacuation plans and drills\n\nWork with Security on physical access and incident response, from building access to visitor protocols\n\nManage and grow the workplace team, starting with the Office Manager and Receptionists - set clear goals, coach the team, and hold a high bar\n\nWrite the playbooks and SOPs so the office runs well when you're not in the room\n\nOwn the in-office events program: happy hours, celebrations, and All Hands logistics\n\nPartner with People on culture programming: swag, welcome kits, recognition, onboarding, and seasonal moments\n\nManage the landlord relationship and ensure the lease is honored, we're compliant with local ordinances, and we maintain a strong partnership with the building\n\nWork with in-house designers and outside architects on timeline, permitting, furniture, and the move itself - delivering the new space on time, on budget, and with an exceptional experience for the team\n\nTake on more sites and real estate as we grow, scoping and building out new space as Polymarket expands\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n7-10+ years in workplace, office operations, or facilities at a high-growth startup or tech company, including managing people\n\nYou've built a workplace function and led the team that runs it day to day\n\nYou've led a major office build-out or relocation\n\nSharp with budgets and vendors - you negotiate well and hold people accountable\n\nYou build durable systems instead of one-off fixes\n\nExtreme ownership: when the AV dies mid-all-hands, you fix it and make sure it doesn't happen again\n\nHigh taste and attention to detail - the office should look good and run well\n\nA strong communicator who can talk to executives, engineers, and contractors and adjust to whoever's in the room\n\n(Plus) Experience in fintech, crypto, or fast-moving startups\n\n(Plus) Experience managing office build-outs in NYC specifically\n\n(Plus) Event planning background, internal or external\n\n(Plus) Familiarity with Notion, Slack, and modern workplace tools\n\n(Plus) Experience partnering directly with People Ops/HR on culture programming\n\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary & equity\n\nUnlimited PTO\n\nFull Health, Vision, & Dental coverage\n\n401k match\n\nHardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories\n\nPay Transparency\nBase salary range: $200,000 to $300,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.\nThis range reflects a good-faith estimate for this position.
