This role sits at the intersection of trading, technology, investment teams and operations, ensuring the robustness and scalability of mission-critical systems including EMS, Trading GUI, middle office workflows, and Internalization engines.\nThe ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capability, bringing structure to production support, deployment processes, and system observability in a fast-paced hedge fund environment.\nCore Responsibilities\nProduction Support & Stability\nLead L1/L2 support for Execution Management Systems (EMS), Trading GUI, Middle Office Workflows and Internalization\nEnsure high availability and performance of trading systems across regions and asset classes\nOwn incident management lifecycle: detection, triage, escalation, resolution, and post-mortems\nDrive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventative measures\nCoordinate closely with trading desks, investment teams, middle office and developers during live issues\nMonitoring & Observability\nDesign and implement comprehensive real-time monitoring and alerting frameworks\nDefine KPIs/SLAs for system health, latency, order flow, and execution quality\nImprove visibility across:\no Order lifecycle and execution flow\no Market data ingestion and processing\no Internal crossing/internalization logic\nReduce noise through intelligent alerting and automation\nDeployment & Change Management\nEstablish a structured and controlled deployment framework (CI/CD alignment with production safety)\nLead release planning, production rollouts, and rollback strategies\nEnforce best practices around:\no Change management\no Version control and release traceability\no Environment consistency (dev/UAT/prod)\nPartner with engineering teams to streamline deployment automation\nPlatform Ownership\nAct as the primary owner of execution platform reliability\nMaintain deep understanding of:\no EMS/OEMS workflows and broker connectivity\no Middle office trade processing\no Internalization and smart order routing logic\nContinuously identify system bottlenecks and areas for performance improvement\nProcess & Team Leadership\nBuild and lead a structured support function with clear runbooks, escalation paths, and SLAs\nMentor junior support engineers and promote operational best practices\nDrive a culture of proactive support vs reactive firefighting\nEstablish documentation standards for systems, processes, and incident learnings\nRequirements\nTechnical Expertise\nStrong experience supporting EMS/OEMS platforms in a buy-side or sell-side environment\nSolid understanding of:\no FIX protocol, order lifecycle, execution workflows\no Market microstructure and trading systems\nFamiliarity with internalization, crossing engines, or dark pool logic is highly desirable\nExperience with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk)\nKnowledge of Linux environments, scripting (Python/Shell), and basic SQL\nProven ability to support and standardize deployments across multiple infrastructure models-cloud, on-prem, and exchange colocation-including both virtualized and bare-metal environments\nProduction Management\nProven track record in high-availability production support environments\nExperience implementing monitoring, alerting, and incident response frameworks\nStrong exposure to deployment pipelines and release management\nLeadership & Stakeholder Management\nPrior experience leading or mentoring support teams\nAbility to communicate effectively with traders, quants, and engineers\nStrong ownership mindset with the ability to operate under pressure \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in a platform hedge fund or multi-PM environment\nExposure to
