We look for candidates that offer a fresh perspective and a variety of skills to help us achieve our commitment.\nWe are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Asahi Kasei Bioprocess where we sell Planova® virus removal filters and develops and manufactures related bioprocess equipment.Company:\nAsahi Kasei Bioprocess America, Inc.Job Description:\nEngineering Intern\nLocation: Glenview, IL\nAsahi Kasei Bioprocess America (AKBA) is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support the design, development, testing, and qualification of specialized equipment used in pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.\nWhat You'll Do:\nAssist in the design, development, and assembly of custom manufacturing equipment.\nSupport equipment testing, commissioning, validation, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).\nCreate and review technical drawings, specifications, test protocols, and user manuals.\nCollaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and customers throughout project execution.\nResearch new technologies and contribute to process improvement initiatives.\nGain hands-on experience with equipment used in chromatography, virus filtration, and other biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.\nWhat We're Looking For:\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.\nInterest in equipment design, manufacturing, and engineering processes.\nAbility to work onsite in Glenview, IL.\nA collaborative, self-motivated attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.\nJoin AKBA and gain valuable hands-on engineering experience developing innovative technologies that support the manufacturing of life-saving therapies!\nThe base compensation range for this role is $18-20/hour.
