Headquartered in the United States, we operate manufacturing facilities in the USA and China and have sales and technical service staff located strategically throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a Instruments & Electrical Technician to be a part of the maintenance team based in Concord.\nReporting Relationships\nThis position directly reports to the I&E Supervisor and does not supervise others.\nAsahi Kasei’s Values\nSincerity - Being sincere with everyone\nChallenge - Bolding taking challenges, continually seeking change\nCreativity - Creating new value through unity and synergy\nKey Accountabilities\nPerform instrumentation and electrical maintenance functions which include but are not limited to the following:\nPerform electrical calibrations & preventative maintenance\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical power systems, motor drives, control systems, as well as instruments used in the systems\nUnderstand and safely use test equipment such as volt, Ohm, current meters, megohmeters, oscilloscopes\nDisassemble, clean, reassemble production equipment\nInstall and/or verify correct instrument installation\nSupport new equipment installations with point to point verification prior to start up\nUpdate electrical drawings & procedures, when needed\nWrite detailed written reports\nOperate PIV equipment (forklifts, portable hoist, cherry picker, one-man lift, etc.)\nRepair and/or replace electrical components\nTrain other maintenance personnel on I&E systems and personal areas of expertise\nWork collaboratively with all maintenance and manufacturing personnel\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to contribute to continuous improvement\nFollow all Celgard safety guidelines and procedures and demonstrate a strong ability to support a safe work culture\nQualifications\nEducation Background:\nHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent required\nAssociate degree or certificate in Electrical Technology highly preferred.\n\nKnowledge & Experience:\n3+ years’ experience in an industrial environment performing instrumentation & electrical work required, 5+ years preferred.\nElectrical experience related to any of the following will be advantageous:Experience supporting instrumentation and control loops for temperature, pressure, tension, and flow\nBlown or Cast Film Extrusion\nLamination\nProcess Ovens\nWeb Coating\nWeb Converting Equipment\nAutomation and Robotics\n\nMilitary technical experience in electrical, instrumentation, electronics, automation, or control systems is welcomed and will be considered equivalent to related civilian experience where applicable. Veterans and transitioning service members are encouraged to apply.\nKey Attributes:\nAbility to perform diagnostics and set-up of PLC & AC Inverter drives; preferred experience on Allen Bradley RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, and Powerflex drives\nPIV equipment experience (forklifts, portable hoist, cherry picker, one-man lift, etc.)\nExperience and knowledge of mechanical systems a plus\nAbility to troubleshoot a wide range of AC/DC electrical systems required\nAbility to repair and/or replace electrical components required.\nAbility to read/comprehend electrical schematics required.\nExperience supporting instrumentation and control loops for temperature, pressure, tension, and flow preferred\nMust be able to work at heights up to 30 feet, lift and carry up to 30 lbs., climb ladders, bend and twist in order to reach remote equipment\nWorking Environment\nThis position is a night shift 12 hour, 2-2-3 rotation position. Training will occur on dayshift hours.\nThis position is in a manufacturing plant setting that would require working in a production environment around chemicals. Work will require standing and walking for up to 80% of the time. Lighting and temperature are adequate.
