We want to hear from you.\nJoin Pomerleau as a GIS Data Analyst Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting major construction projects across Canada through geospatial data management, GIS standards development, and spatial analysis.\nWhat you will do\nSupport the GIS / VDC team in maintaining, structuring, and updating geospatial data related to active construction projects\nContribute to the development and improvement of GIS standards, data models, naming conventions, and best practices across the organization\nProduce maps, dashboards, and GIS visualizations to support preconstruction, estimation, risk, environmental, and operations teams\nPerform spatial analyses (site constraints, logistics, accessibility, environmental considerations)\nIntegrate, transform, and validate data from multiple sources (CAD, Excel, databases, GIS services) using tools such as FME\nWork with spatial and relational databases to ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and provide GIS support to internal stakeholders\nThis role could be for you if you have\nCurrently enrolled in a college or university program in GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field\nBasic knowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online / Enterprise\nExposure to or interest in FME for data transformation and automation\nKnowledge of databases (spatial or relational), such as geodatabases, SQL-based systems, or cloud data platforms is an asset\nComfortable working with structured data sets (Excel, tables, spatial layers)\nInterest in the construction and infrastructure industry\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and improve standards\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams\nFrench required; functional English is an asset\nBenefits\nHands-on Learning in construction, engineering, sustainability, and tech\nMentorship from experienced professionals\nStrong Networking with managers, engineers, and executives\nIndustry Insight through events, site visits, and team meetings\nCareer Growth into roles like project coordinator or site engineer\nFull-Time Potential with high intern-to-employee conversion\nFor the past six years, we've proudly held the distinction of being one of Canada's Top 100 Employers.\nPomerleau is a national leader in construction, delivering major projects across Canada.
