We want to hear from you.\nJoin Pomerleau as a IT Support Intern and gain hands-on experience by contributing to day-to-day IT support activities for end users, under the supervision of the IT Coordinator and with guidance from experienced technicians. In this role, you will serve as a first-line resource for handling requests and incidents related to workstations, business software, and peripheral devices.\nThis internship offers recent graduates of an IT support program the opportunity to develop their technical skills, customer service approach, and understanding of a structured IT environment.\nWhat you will do\nProvide first-level IT support and respond to user incidents and service requests.\nPerform initial troubleshooting and apply documented solutions during the first interaction whenever possible.\nWhen issues cannot be resolved immediately, accurately document the troubleshooting steps and actions taken, then escalate requests to the appropriate resource.\nAssist with the preparation and configuration of workstations as part of equipment deployments and replacements.\nHelp maintain the accuracy and currency of the IT equipment inventory.\nContribute to the creation, updating, and improvement of internal documentation and support procedures.\nThis role could be for you if you have\nDEP, DEC, or AEC in Information Technology, currently in progress or recently completed.\nKnowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments and workstation components.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Office applications.\nBasic understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, local networks, and connectivity.\nAbility to follow a troubleshooting methodology, research information, and apply technical procedures.\nFamiliarity with Active Directory, remote support tools, and software installation.\nBasic understanding of cybersecurity best practices and information protection.\nStrong interest in IT support, hands-on learning, and user service.\nActive listening skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.\nCuriosity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to seek solutions while recognizing when to ask for support.\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.\nTeam-oriented mindset, punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.\nAbility to prioritize work, manage multiple requests, and seek assistance when appropriate.\nExcellent French language skills and the ability to communicate in English in an IT support environment.\nBenefits\nHands-on Learning in construction, engineering, sustainability, and tech\nMentorship from experienced professionals\nStrong Networking with managers, engineers, and executives\nIndustry Insight through events, site visits, and team meetings\nCareer Growth into roles like project coordinator or site engineer\nFull-Time Potential with high intern-to-employee conversion\nFor the past six years, we've proudly held the distinction of being one of Canada's Top 100 Employers.\nPomerleau is a national leader in construction, delivering major projects across Canada.
