sales team supervision, inspiration, and meeting sales goals.\nThis position is responsible for supervising associates and supporting management in maintaining compliance with Company policies, guest service standards, wage and hour laws, and safety requirements.\nCompensation:$27.00-$30.00 hourly\nBenefits Per Company Plan Details:\nMedical, Dental, Vision\n401k Matching Plan\nLife Insurance\nHospital Confinement Plan\nPet Insurance\n3 Weeks of PTO\n8 Paid Holidays, including Associate Birthday Paid Off\n**The terms and conditions associated with each Benefit are outlined in the Associate Handbook, additional documentation provided by Human Resources, or within the policies of the carriers providing the benefits.\nSchedule\nWednesday - Sunday, 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.\nWeekends and holidays required\nOccasional evening wine club and special events- with advance notice\nQualifications\nMust be at least 21 years of age.\nUnderstanding of wine, winemaking, customer service, tasting room operations, and the wine club business.\nProven experience in supervising a direct-to-consumer sales team of more than 15 associates in the wine industry.\nPrior success in a fast-paced direct-to-consumer winery, specializing in member satisfaction, wine sales, and wine club memberships, while handling and resolving multiple guest issues at the same.\nComfortable using budgets, payroll, and commission calculations.\nAbility to consistently meet tasting room goals in sales, service, and membership benchmarks in multiple heavy volume wine tasting areas.\nSkills using Outlook, Excel, Word, Wine Direct, and multiple POS systems, and accurately typing at least 45 wpm.\nCommitment to meet objectives in sales, service, quality, cleanliness, and appearance of the Tasting Room, the Reserve Room, and the Deck as set by the Tasting Room Manager.\nWillingness to perform any other duties, as directed by the Manager.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nData-Driven Duties\nSupervise associates during assigned shifts.\nAnalyze and assist with payroll reports, sales team rankings, and commission calculations.\nAnalyze and control expenditures of wine and non-wine sales, to meet budgetary requirements.\nStaff Leadership\nSupervise three wine-tasting locations: The indoor Tasting Room, The indoor-outdoor Reserve Room, and the outdoor Deck.\nPerform opening and closing duties, per company procedures.\nHire and train new associates.\nControl cash and other receipts by adhering to proper cash handling and reconciliation procedures per company guidelines.\nWork with the Tasting Room Manager to schedule labor as required by anticipating business activity and ensuring all labor cost objectives are met efficiently.\nBe knowledgeable of winery policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures, in conjunction with the Tasting Room Manager, Assistant Tasting Room Manager, and HR Department.\nFill in or assist staff where needed to ensure efficient operations.\nSupervise associates and delegate tasks during each shift.\nCoordinate with staff and the Facilities department to maintain a safe, clean, presentable, and friendly environment for associates and guests.\nMaintain the FOH and BOH areas with safe and sanitary practices.\nAdhere to the WISE Academy training and constantly review with associates.\nMerchandising\nDeliver exceptional hospitality and create memorable guest experiences.\nUnderstand retail pricing and calculate retail margins and markups.\nOrder merchandise as directed by the Tasting Room Manager.\nCreate purchase orders, receive merchandise, and process all receiving-related paperwork.\nEnter stock into the point-of-sale system, create barcodes, and tag all merchandise.\nFollow up with vendors on damages, mistakes on orders, and late packages.\nDisplay merchandise in attractive, safe, clean, organized, and effective ways to encourage sales.\nAnalyze top-selling items each month as well as review margins. Adjust prices and order, as necessary.\nTake inventory monthly of all merchandise in the Tasting Room and Reserve Room and reconcile it in the point-of-sale system.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of all merchandise storage locations.\nTechnology\nProficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, POS systems, and Inventory Control Systems.\nAbility to type at least 45 wpm.\nProficiency in Vin65 (Wine Direct), TOCK, ALOHA, POS system setup, data entry, and reporting.\nMonitor and program the POS systems.
