PNL specializes in world-class construction and upgrade services for Oil and Gas facilities in the Nigerian market, both onshore and offshore.\n\nWe are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: Lifting Supervisor\n\nLocation: Port Harcourt, Rivers\n\nJob Summary\n\n Would you like to develop your experience as a Lifting Manager (M/F) and help transform the world as part of a family-owned group that works to provide people with what they will always need: energy, health, water, food, and security, while sincerely respecting the planet and its employees?\n\n Within Oil & Gas projects in Nigeria, the Lifting Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all lifting operations on site, both onshore and offshore.\n\n The role ensures full compliance with HSE requirements, project specifications, and international lifting standards while operating in a high-risk environment.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n\nThe position we are offering involves the following main responsibilities:\n\nSupervision & Coordination:\n\n Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on site (onshore and offshore),\n\n Act as the focal point between construction teams, methods engineering, HSE, and project management,\n\n Coordinate lifting activities with other disciplines and contractors on site.\n\nEngineering & Preparation:\n\n Develop and review lifting plans in close cooperation with the methods and preparation teams;\n\n Define and validate lifting procedures in accordance with Oil & Gas project constraints;\n\n Select and approve appropriate lifting equipment and technical means (cranes, rigging gear, accessories).\n\nHSE & Compliance:\n\n Ensure full compliance with HSE policies, local Nigerian regulations, and international standards (API, ISO, LOLER, etc.);\n\n Perform risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for lifting operations;\n\n Lead toolbox talks and actively participate in site safety meetings.\n\nTeam Management:\n\n Supervise, train, and mentor lifting personnel (crane operators, riggers, banksmen);\n\n Ensure personnel competency, valid certifications, and compliance with training requirements.\n\nInspection & Maintenance:\n\n Carry out regular inspections of lifting equipment and lifting accessories;\n\n Ensure lifting equipment certification and maintenance records are up to date;\n\n Prepare and issue incident, inspection, and maintenance reports.\n\nOperational Follow-Up:\n\n Plan and schedule lifting operations in line with project timelines;\n\n Manage unforeseen situations and resolve technical issues related to lifting activities;\n\n Optimize the use of human and material resources throughout project execution.\n\nCommunication & Reporting:\n\n Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, and subcontractors ;
