The Business Development Representative playsa key roleincustomer retention, generating revenue,and driving sales growth forPOOLCORP.\nOn a daily basis ourBusiness Development Representative :\nDevelops a strategy to increasesales and profits within the assigned territory fordifferent customer segments includingkey, opportunity, new,and existing customers.\n\nProspects and generates leadsthrough cold calling, networking, referrals, and online research; follows up on qualifiedsales leads.\n\nEffectively builds relationships with customers by understanding and supporting their business. Grows and maintains these relationships over time, becoming a “go to” advisor.\n\nPlans and executes a minimum number of daily scheduled sales calls with defined objectives for theassigned book of business.\n\nTravels within designated territory deliveringbest-in-class sales presentations and product demonstrationsthat meet the customers’ needs and proactively providessolutions.\n\nNegotiates terms, closessales, and handles post-sale support, including addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction.\n\nCoordinates sales efforts with corporate marketing initiatives and incentives.\n\nAttends industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand the customerbase and stay informed on market trends.\n\nProvides quotes and product data promptly and accurately.\n\nDevelopsrelationshipswith POOLCORP region and division leadership including the Sales Center, Region and Division Managers as well asvendor representativesto achieve individualand broadergoals.\n\nMaintains all customerrecords in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, completing reports and call records in a timely fashion.\n\nStays currenton competitor activities, market conditions, and industry trends through ongoing research and analysis.\n\nOther job related duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You Will Need:\nAt least2 years’experience in professional-level business-to-business sales.\n\nA proven track record of successful sales in a wholesaledistributionenvironment.\n\nAbility to cold call on prospective clients.\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nAbility to build trust and long-term relationships.\n\nKnowledge of industry products and distribution processes.\n\nSelf-motivation and ability to work independently.\n\nAmple knowledge of one or more of these product lines: pool related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping / irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies or similar tangible goods.\n\nProficiency with Microsoft CE or other CRMand theentire Microsoft Suite (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).\n\nFamiliarity with Prelude or similar inventory management softwareis preferred.\n\nA valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record - no more than 2 violations within 3 years - and willing to travel regularly within a designated area.\n\nOccasional ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds in the Sales Center or on Customer site.\n\nTo be 21 years of age or older to apply.\n\nBilingual, Military, Military Spouses and Veteran applicants are strongly encouraged to apply!
