Review and analyze risks of loan applications to determine a final decision.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nReviews and evaluates information on mortgage loan documents to determine if buyer, property, and loan conditions meet establishment and government standards. Determines terms and acceptability of risk of prospective clients. Approves or rejects loan application, or requests additional information. Records loan rejections, specifying investor and institution guidelines and basis for declining application, such as insufficient cash reserves. Assembles documents in loan files, including acceptance or denial, and returns files to originating mortgage loan office.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Business Administration\nExperience\nThree to five years related experience.\nCertifications / Licenses\nNo certifications or license needed.\nOther Qualifications\nStrong knowledge of mortgage underwriting principles, credit analysis, and loan documentation.\nAbility to analyze income, assets, liabilities, credit history, and overall borrower risk.\nKnowledge of applicable mortgage lending guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing financial and loan documentation.\nAbility to interpret financial information and identify potential credit or documentation risks.\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple loan files and priorities.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively with loan officers, processors, closing teams, and other stakeholders.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.\nExperience with mortgage loan origination systems, such as Encompass, preferred or required depending on the manager’s expectation.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial information.\nRegion Locations\nSt. Thomas or St. Croix\nWork Schedule\nMonday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.\nValues\n1.
