Your employment will be legally administered through RemoFirst, while your day-to-day work is led by Porch Group.\nJob Summary\nThe future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love you to be a part of it as an AP Specialist\nWe’re excited about building out our finance and accounting function and are seeking versatile, adaptable and collaborative Specialist to join our highly skilled team. You will utilize your accounting knowledge and experience to ensure best practices and standards are met on a regular basis as Porch builds its internal processes. We have a variety of accountant roles including opportunities in revenue accounting, our insurance division, and shared services (corporate).\nWhat You Will Do As An AP Specialist\nWork independently, performing professional accounting activities related to general accounting, etc.\nReconcile account balances for assigned balance sheet accounts to provide underlying support, and either independently or with the assistance of others research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.\nPrepare and process accounting journal entries for assigned accounts within established deadlines. Work with others within Accounting, Finance or across the organization as needed to obtain necessary details behind accounting entries or to resolve any discrepancies.\nPrepare assigned flux comments related to the income statement and balance sheet\nundefined\nTake initiative to become proficient in general ledger system and other reporting tools to run trial balances or account details to aid in research or refining processes. Develop solid understanding of accounting processes and controls.\nPrepare monthly/quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned. \nPrepare financial data as directed and assist with preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports. \nSupport management with ad hoc requests. \nPartner with internal teams to maintain processes and controls related to assigned areas of work. \nParticipate in the annual, quarterly, and monthly process with SOX and internal audit teams. \nEnsure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles.\nWhat You Will Bring As An AP Specialist\nBachelor's degree in accounting\nMinimum of 2 years’ work experience\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint). \nAbility to work in a dynamic, virtual environment requiring self-motivation and adaptability. \nPrior NetSuite and FloQast experience a plus.\nProven experience working with US based business teams \nExcellent written and communication skills in English\nAbility to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST)\nShared Services requirements: Knowledge of Fixed Assets, Cash, Accruals, Lease accounting, accounting for Payroll and Accounts Payable, Intercompany Accounting, Prepaids, Capitalized Software and debt.\nWorkspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload \nThe application window for this position is anticipated to close in 2 weeks (10 business days) from 10/19/26.
