In this role, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining the data pipelines that power our business intelligence and reporting.\nYou aren't just writing code; you're ensuring our data reflects the complex realities of our SaaS and insurance operations. You will work closely with lead architects to implement scalable solutions and serve as a subject matter expert in SQL and database performance.\nWhat You Will Do As A Senior Data Warehouse Engineer\nBuild and monitor robust ETL/ELT pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.\nDevelop high-performance SQL scripts for complex data transformations, ensuring accuracy across multiple datasets.\nContribute to the design and refinement of data models (Star/Snowflake) to support evolving business requirements in the insurance and SaaS space.\nProactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in data pipelines, optimizing for both query speed and cloud cost-efficiency.\nPartner with Data Analysts and stakeholders to translate business logic, such as churn rates or claims ratios, into technical specifications.\nParticipate in peer code reviews and maintain documentation to ensure the long-term health of the data warehouse.\nPerform other data engineering related duties or projects, as assigned.\nWhat You Will Bring As A Senior Data Warehouse Engineer\n5+ years of professional data engineering experience, specifically within cloud-based data warehouses.\nSolid experience with the Google Cloud ecosystem, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM best practices.\nExpert-level SQL proficiency, including comfort with window functions, recursive CTEs, and query plan analysis.\nStrong grasp of indexing, partitioning, clustering, and data warehousing lifecycle management.\nFamiliarity with metrics common to SaaS (MRR, Churn) or Insurance (Premiums, Claims, Actuarial data) is highly valued.\nDetail-oriented, with pride in data integrity and clean code.\nCollaborative, enjoys working as part of a high-functioning team, and comfortable contributing to shared goals.\nAdaptable, able to pivot between building new features and troubleshooting legacy pipelines as business needs change.\nCandidates that have worked in IT/Data for a United States based publicly owned company preferred.\nExcellent written and communication skills in the English language.\nProven experience working with US based business teams.\nAbility to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap.\nWorking Hours: 8 Hours (Excluding breaks) 4 Core US Hours Overlap (7:30pm- 11:30pm IST) 4 flexible hours (IST) \nWorkspace: A quiet, dedicated space to work, and a reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps.\nWhat You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member\nPay Range*: ₹24,75,000 - ₹34,65,000 INR Annually\n*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.\nOur benefits package will provide you with comprehensive coverage for your health, life, and financial wellbeing.\nOur benefits include medical insurance, accident insurance and retiral benefits\nOur wellness programs include 12 company-paid holidays, 2 flexible holidays, privilege/earned leave, casual/sick leave, paid maternity and paternity leaves, and weekly wellness events.\n#LI-PD1 \n#LI-REMOTE\nWhat’s next?\nSubmit your application below and our Talent Acquisition team will be reviewing your application shortly!
