This position will be located in Jackson, GA.\nRoles & responsibilities\nOperational Leadership\nSupervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations to ensure service, productivity, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.\nPrioritize work assignments and allocate resources to support operational requirements and customer expectations.\nMonitor workflow and operational performance to ensure alignment with established standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).\nAddress operational challenges, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.\nSupport facility opening and closing activities as required.\nParticipate in special projects and other duties as assigned.\nPeople Leadership & Development\nLead, coach, develop, and motivate warehouse personnel to achieve performance expectations and departmental goals.\nFoster a positive, accountable, and collaborative work environment.\nConduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.\nAddress employee performance concerns in a timely and constructive manner.\nEnsure team members receive appropriate operational, safety, and compliance training.\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nPromote and maintain a culture of safety throughout warehouse operations.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or similar methodologies.\nMaintain compliance with hazardous materials and dangerous goods regulations, including required certifications and training.\nEnsure the safe and effective use of warehouse equipment and material handling systems.\nEnsure inventory accuracy and integrity through adherence to established processes and controls.\nCollaboration & Communication\nPartner with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support operational objectives.\nCommunicate operational performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities to leadership.\nAct as a liaison with vendors and suppliers supporting warehouse operations.\nCoordinate facility and equipment maintenance activities as needed.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualificationsQualifications\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.\nExperience\nFive (5) or more years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain experience, preferably within the automotive or automotive parts industry.\nPrevious supervisory or people-leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or operations environment required.\nAutomotive parts warehousing, distribution, or logistics experience strongly preferred.\nExperience working within a two-tier automotive supply chain, supporting both OEM operations and downstream dealer or customer distribution, strongly preferred.\nExperience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); SAP EWM experience preferred.\nKnowledge of hazardous materials regulations and compliance requirements preferred.\nExperience managing high-volume automotive parts warehouse operations, including inbound, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control, preferred.\nExperience working in a time-sensitive service-parts environment with responsibility for productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and customer service KPIs preferred.\nExperience working within a performance-driven environment utilizing KPIs and operational metrics.\nExperience leading process improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or similar methodologies.\nSkills:\nStrong people leadership, coaching, performance-management, and employee-development capabilities.\nExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\nAbility to analyze operational data and drive performance improvement.\nStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nKnowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control processes, and material handling practices.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nThe salary range for this role is $85,000-$95,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.\nIn addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
