We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities.\nWe’re on a mission to become the world’s most requested and trusted PPE and Safety Wear Brand.\n JOB SUMMARY:\nThe role is responsible for the measurement and implementation of Standard Minute Values across a network of garment factories and warehouses across the globe to facilitate accurate measurement of production efficiency at individual, line and factory level.\nThe role will be based in Thurnscoe, South Yorkshire and will be supported by a team of Industrial Engineers in the factories and warehouses. It will be responsible for managing and developing the team to meet KPIs and to maintain a database of standard minute values (SMV).\nThe right candidate will be tasked with challenging and improving production methods to improve efficiencies through innovation and improved processes.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n· Managing a small team of Industrial Engineers based overseas\n· Measuring and Implementing new Standard Minute Values (SMV)s and maintaining an SMV database in a Product Lifetime Management (PLM) system.\n· Monitoring of factory and warehouse efficiency performance and continuous improvements.\n· Implementing and monitoring operator incentive schemes in factories.\n· Oversea Factory visits, setting up production systems and training\n· Innovation - liaising with factories and warehouses, product team and supply chain to improve processes\n· Attending machinery shows where necessary\nREQUIREMENTS:\n· A third level qualification in Industrial Engineering\n· Experience working with incentive schemes\n· Excellent organisational and time management skills\n· Strong attention to detail\n· Good problem solver\nCOMPANY AWARDS\nGreat Place To Work 2024 \nPrivate Irish Business of the year - Export IndustryAwards 2025\nGold Ecovadis Sustainability Rating 2026\nApplicants must have a right to live and work in the relevant jurisdiction.\nPortwest is an equal opportunity employer.
